Div I: Curtis 31 Cath BR 10 Class 5A: Hahnville 34 Zachary 31 must give pooka's stats for the tie breaker lol.. in case of one... I saw zachary make bolden look pedestrian with nick Saban in the press box watching. I can't wait to see this kid in his final game. That place is going to be packed to watch him and him alone against the best run defense in 5-A.

Put up 24 points on them and held them to 10 points. This is the same Catholic team whose offense has only scored 7 points in the past 2 playoff games. 2.) They only put up 7 points on U-High. I know U-High has a great team, but come on man. 7 POINTS? I know that they a built to stop the run and given that Hahnville can't pass, might make it interesting, but if Catholic scored 24 points on you, I can't see them stopping Pooka for 4 quarters

Their corners aren't real fast and don't make plays in the run game. Most of all their tackles cme from their linebackers and defensive line. Was not impressed with their Seconary except for one guy in #2. Zachary linebackers are solid tacklers, but #44 and I believe #34 and #5 are all very young (#5 is a freshman with #44 a sopre) and they aren't real fast. Hahnville is also bigger up front than West Monroe was and run a totally different offense. I expect pooka to rack up huge yards and have a field day on the turf. To me the turf is a player like pooka's dream setting. Made for the fast player to excel. Problem hahnville will have is stopping zachary's offense. If Hahnville wants to win they better score 50.

I might also add that Jackson at qb more than makes pooka's job a lot easier. It isn't like Jackson isn't a home run threat himself.

Actually they run an offense similiar to South Plaquemines' 2007 and 2008 offense with Ridge Turner at QB, especially with the QB faking the ball to the back coming across and then looking for a seam between the tackle or guard to keep it and run. Not to complicated, but if the Huge O-line can get a good push and key in on their blocks, Jackson has enough speed to run pass the young LBs and into the secondary for big gains.

I have to go with JC & Zachary on these two games. Those 16 seniors at Zachary went into WM & beat the Rebels. Saw it myself & was very impressed with the Broncos! In my humble opinion...

Div I: Curtis 31 Cath BR 10 Class 5A: Hahnville 34 Zachary 31 Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't you call it that Curtis would win DivI back at the start of the season? It seems like you called it and myself (and a few others) scoffed at your prediction. We'll know soon enough, but I do know that there's no possible way for ECA to beat Curtis this year. Good luck to y'all.

Good luck to y'all. Lol Yes I did , and I also called it as early as the end of last season, when I saw the team Curtis had coming back. But after the season started, they loss their star RB for the year, and they struggled a bit during the season at times and probably should have loss to Easton and St.Aug. Well, I figured That they would still make it to the dome, but because of this inconsistent play, I figure that Evangel would capitalize on every single mistake and beat then in the dome. So about in week 7 I saw that Evangel looked unstoppable and Curtis was still struggling , so I said that Evangel woujd win the championship. I really wasn't aware that Evangel was having its own struggles late in the season. But I know that the e will be back stronger next season. You can't keep a program like that down. Like i said, no school can say that they played up 3 classes and won the title against the big boys. The e can!

You keep bringing up that Zachary lost to Catholic High and U High which granted they did. However, Hahnville lost to John Ehret and Brother Martin. Zachary beat John Ehret in the 2nd round of the playoffs this year 38-0 while Ehret beat Hahnville like 46-41. Also, Brother Martin was not as good this year as in previous years. Now you can say those loses came early in the year and Hahnville was stilling trying to find their identity. News flash, those loses for Zachary happened early in the year as well while they were trying to find their identity. Either way you have to agree that these are two of the hottest teams in 5A right now and both are doing what they have to do to win. Should be an exactly game and can't wait to be there to witness it.
