Rings are good,but how many of these kids that can play on the next level.Rumors of coaches not giving athletes letters and etc from colleges.

I get it. Could be a distraction if a team is making a run. But the players should get them when the season is complete. However, if a college really wants a guy, they can send a letter to his house. Or... do this crazy thing called use a phone to call. Not that hard to get information. Most of the time the letters are inviting players to a camp, which is just a money maker for all you ignorant parents that think your superstar kid is being recruited with a summer camp letter. Not saying they can't get noticed there, but that's the reality.

I don’t see the harm in letting a kid know, hey X university may have some interest in you or maybe stopping by to see you. It’s deserved. Now in no way is this all schools, I can say West Feliciana tweets every offer that a player gets. But I also have heard some schools holding letters, not telling kids anything. Or even not saying anything unless it’s particular schools. With the boom of social media it doesn’t happen as much but colleges still typically wanna check in with coach also. Protection or control? It’s an interesting topic
