The Gators are off to a 4-0 start on the early season, haven’t started 4-0 since 2012. This Gator team is loaded with under classman with only 8 starters on offense and defense that are seniors. The JR class dominates both sides of the ball, with such a young team the question early on was would the Friday night lights be too bright for them to handle?
With easy wins in their first two games the test in week 3 with Lutcher proved this group just might be ready for the Friday night lights! After trailing most of the Lutcher game the Gators scored to go ahead 21-14 for the first time and looked like it would close out the Bulldogs but a fumble with 1:05 in the game proved as the real test for the young defense. They would hold on to secure the 1 point win.
Last week at Woodlawn BR the Gators were down 14-0 early on and were down 14-3 at half only to score 34 unanswered points to win. Can they put a 48 minute game together this week against South Terrebonne? If so maybe they are showing the signs of the lights not being too bright for Friday Nights!

It's good to see the Gators off to a fast start. South Terrebonne shouldn't be too tough, but the next three games against McKinley, EA and Catholic will show how good this Gator team really is.
