Paperwork was in shambles I know LHSAA comes to Kaplan yearly, sometimes twice a year to check on our paperwork . How can they skip McKinley all these years ? What does our great LHSAA plan to do with all that money ? Reimburse the Superdome teams they didn’t pay ? I doubt it . I say either pay the Superdome teams or divide check up and give every school that has been in good standing some $$$$$

Maybe the LHSAA should issue a rule on which rules you need to follow. We are lead by s, seems like the only ones they catch are self reported.

What makes them select is those 25% your talking about are enrolled in a program that requires testing for admission and GPA requirements to remain in the program. The key to being non-select is not having any admission requirements of any kind, having a completely open enrollment policy for admission and all programs offered by the school, and being tuition free. As for the fine, i think its ridiculously high. This is a Louisiana High School not a Texas High school.

McKinley had the same issue as Lab. Inner circle arguing and fighting led to McKinley “self reporting.” That’s the same thing that happened to Lab. You let the wrong people in your house, and they create issues. I bet some of these other schools would NEVER “self report” discrepancies to the LHSAA.

McKinley just declared themselves a “sanctuary” school. They are immune to LHSAA rules and will not pay the fine or abide by the sanctions

Have u ever registered an athlete? It takes an act of Congress . I have skipped a kid ot two accidentally . If kid is special ed, good luck . Transfer student . Divorced parents ? It is a lot of work to do on computer. As far as paperwork , their are a lot of papers to sign as parent. Physical , date entered school , birth certificate, drug form , concussion form ,etc . Proof of insurance!!! Coaches do all the work but if a signature is missed , 50 $ fine . Schools pay dues to be in LHSAA , do all the paperwork, pay on top of that for coaching cards , 10% of playoff gates to LHSAA, and if you miss a signature, you get fined . WOW ! But don’t expect LHSAA to pay you what they owe you for Dome trip . When LHSAA screws up a pitch count , all you getting is an apology .
Ask your principals since you THINK LHSAA is run by principals about the Chicago visit our LHSAA commissioner and his cronies just returned from . Who paid for the trip ? We’re executive members also invited ?

Which would be fine if all were good financially, but when you can’t pay the schools what you owe them, IMO its criminal. But what else would you expect from self serving principals.

We needs a special council to investigate it. LOL... Where's Trey Gowdy and Jeff Landry when you need them? Rather, I think the Dome schools from last year that did not get paid should file a breech of contract suit against the LHSAA. They have broken faith with the membership. For years I have been calling for private schools to leave the LHSAA. Maybe it should be the public schools that bail on them and start their own organization. Louisiana Public High Schools Sports Organization. Register it as a non-profit let it be run by independent sports administrators with no principal vote. They could setup a board of directors who would set member fees etc.....

Not worried about certification only need a body to put in the room.

Quit casting stones . Self serving principals as you call them, consist at the private schools also .i agree The LHSAA needs to disband. Call for your legislators that can’t balance a budget to get involved and see what happens . What happened to all the money from lotteries and casinos that went for education and teacher pay raises ?The same guys that make the rules for public schools send their kids to private schools . Same guys that threw Care down our throats have their own free insurance for life . Same guys after they get out of Senate and House have an annual paycheck of 150,000 and free Health Care for life .

I agree, but the Majority rules, in the case of the LHSAA the majority are self serving s.

If you’ve been following these situations closely, you’d know that the LHSAA already slapped McKinley on the wrist a few months ago when they took their coaching cards. And Lab didn’t have way more issues either. Im very familiar with both situations.

Get right southside. Really Yank? You don't remember all the butt hurt whining about West Monroe recruiting, I mean pulling, I mean getting transfers of their own free will from WA CHEE TAA just a few years back? Didn't cost the coach? What about the endless year after year crying about Evangel Recruiting? Where was that coach put in handcuffs again by the opposing teams principal? Talk about shenanigans…. I remember a few years back, maybe on another board, but the world was on fire about private schools cheaters, when someone posted a list of every school caught by the LHSAA for like the past 20 years, and it was 80% public school, and mostly north LA. It was not a popular thread. Just sayin......

The amount of money in the fine is excessive and I hope it is reduced. Playoff ban is also silly.

What other state championship contender does North Louisiana have? Serious question. Maybe WM. Like I said earlier, I hate the north Louisiana vs South Louisiana argument because we’re all Louisiana. But I won’t allow you to throw shots at South Louisiana like north Louisiana is so squeaky clean. West Monroe got in trouble the same time Lab did. You must be new to high school football in Louisiana so I’m going to let you slide.
