Is the NOLA area the "most successful" or just the most populated?

Nola is the heaviest populated, but also puts out a rediculous amount of athletes per-capita. Based on the sheer numbers, they are number one, but per-capita, the Shreveport area probably isn’t far behind. Both areas are considered recruiting hotbeds. I would also be willing to bet that the BR and Lafayette areas are both very high side of the per-capita national average.

It's not really a legitimate question.
It's sort of like asking for a preseason poll from everybody. Each person will favor their own area in a poll. Not only that but how far back do you go? Ten years? Twenty years? Thirty years or more? And how do you judge success? By the player's success related to the competition he faces in college? By the size of the college? By the conference? What about his pro career? How about the size of the area in the state the player comes from?
Notice how I can take a completely innocent board question and turn it into a tangled ruckus. I'm damn good at it.
