3 LSU commits in 1 district. Easily the best 1A district in the state.

Can't argue with that this year Jklee. Now that could change by the end of the year depending how teams live up to xpectations. I feel district 2-1A has strong argument for #2

And I feel like our 2 districts are the top 2 just about every year. When I was in high school and jr. high district 2 -1a had Oak Grove, Sterlington, Mangham, Cedar Creek, Grambling(when they were a top 10-15 team most years), Delta(now a part of bastrop usually a top 15 team), and Bernice was the one cupcake. It was a heck of a district. Now that AC has stepped up I can't wait to see how yalls district finishes

Ron Lejuene going 6-6 with East Iberville last year and winning a playoff game in who knows how long had to be the biggest Cinderella story of the district last year. Kentwood, Lab, and WC won a state title already since the split (and remind you they all won it before the split too) then with Lab and Asc. Catholic. Yeah tough district. Seems once the quarters roll around its Haynesville, OG, Montgomery District, 6-1A that's been left the last few years in the playoffs.

No they haven’t. I think it might’ve been the last combined playoffs.

I wonder why they captured Ascension Christian in the article. They are not part of 6-1A football. They opted not to play the tough competition.

Still a district team and the kids still work hard and deserve the recognition. Going to be back in next year. At the end of the day it hurts no one so I don’t understand the problem. Haven’t played district in 4 years. Program needed that to grow. Never understood why some feel the need to complain about things like this that don’t effect anyone.
