Hope everyone has had a great summer. I'm sadly living in Houston now that I finally graduated from Louisiana Tech in May, so I'm not going to get to attend every Airline game this year, which will be a first since high school. It's unfortunate for a diehard fan like me but career calls. I'm down in Katy though so I'll get to see some high quality football on Friday nights. Anyway, since I didn't get to go, did anybody on here see the Lions Club Jamboree tonight? Obviously I'd like to hear how Airline played (I heard they had a scoreless tie against Benton) but also the other Bossier teams.

I hate to see our young talent leaving the state but you have to go where the money and jobs are. Good luck in Houston.
I did not go, but there are some videos of the three scrimmages on the KTBS website, including an interview of Coach Meeks (but the interview is on the Bossier/Plain Dealing video). Here is the link if you are interested:

Lots of fond memories there.

Actually no, I'm not smart enough to be an engineer lol. my dad is a petroleum geologist and got transferred from Bossier to Tulsa, OK in 2012 and then down here in 2015. I decided to go into real estate but I'm living with them in Katy until I can save up some more money. The eventual plan is to move to the Dallas area. Houston is too big and spread out for me, and Dallas is a quicker drive across I-20 back to Shreveport to see family. Katy is a nice place but it's a bit too suburban for someone my age. It's mostly families with young kids. You wouldn't believe how huge the high schools are here. Every one of them has at least 3k students, some up to 5k. Makes Airline look tiny. I actually drove by Legacy stadium today. It's an incredible facility and it's for all of Katy isd. I also saw Katy will be playing against a Mexican team this season in Mexico City. That's crazy.
