Highway 15 rivalry. FP upset a heavily favored Rayville team last year for their only win of the season. Schools are very close to each other and the kids know each other very well. I've got FP winning big.

I find it interesting that on the pick'em thread, most posters from NELA are going with FP. The others are almost all picking Rayville

I think that is because fans from northeast la know this is suppose to be a good year for FP and rayville has been all over the place the last couple of years. So those that aren't from around here just go off of name recognition of the program.

I am expecting a drop off a little from Rayville this year, didn't they graduate a couple of their big playmakers? I also think Franklin Parish is headed in the right direction with their coaching staff. I know rivalry games can go either way, but i think Franklin will win this by 2+ scores.

I know that linebacker and defensive lineman graduated believe they were brothers if I remember correctly. Those 2 ayed lights out against us last year

I thought Caldwell played ok in it. Much better than a lot of people expected.

Big win for FP. 464 yards of offense. Backup fullback Greg Bailey ran for 130 TDs. LT Major with a td pass and some great runs. 45-6 the clock ran the entire 2nd half. Freshmen played the entire 4th quarter for FP. It's going to be a good season for FP.

Also in a pregame ceremony, FP had a balloon release to honor Tyrell Cameron, who tragically died on the field 3 years ago. His mom was on hand for the ceremony. This would have been his senior year.

Not surprised FP won, but the final scoreline was a bit of one
