Yeah I still remember that game in 2016 that the referees stole from us. They suspended the whole crew behind that game. We were up 18-0. That was the last time we had a chance to beat UHigh 😂😂😂

Think I remember Xavier Bell having one or two TDs called back. One was a punt return right before half I wanna say. Think there was a slant towards he end that was either wide open and overshot or dropped. Lab was the better team that year.

The referees gave them momentum. Ain’t nothing like the UHigh pick 6 when UHigh’s DB tackled X before he could catch it. Mike Hollins fumbled before he crossed the goal line and we recovered it and they gave UHigh the TD. The pass interference call on Lab on 4th and 12 on a tipped pass. The onside kick we recovered and they gave it back to UHigh. Man I can go on and on. The worst officiated football game I have ever witnessed and I’m a life long SU Lab supporter so that says a lot. The whole referee crew was suspended after that one.

I know U High is considered the best team in the state this year but when you really look at it is the talent gap really that much? Is there really a position group where they are considerably faster or bigger. I know they have a depth advantage but we aren't talking about 5A numbers. And it's the consensus that this will be a beat down. Is the coaching difference just that much. Just crazy to me that a school with probably at least 7-8 D1 players can be that outmanned. I don't doubt the predictions I'm sure it will work out that way.

I don't doubt the predictions I'm sure it will work out that way. Well. UHigh’s advantages start at the QB position. JG can play. Then you have to factor in their depth. And lastly their coach’s ability to make adjustments. We were up 6-0 at halftime last year with a back up QB. Then that QB threw 2 interceptions and fumbled all on our side of the 50. But you have to ask yourself, why were we throwing the ball against UHigh up by 6 points and our defense was lights out at the time? That’s coaching. That makes a major difference. The final score ended up being 35-16. And then the game is at UHigh. And not to bring up 2016 again, the flags fly UHigh’s way at home. Like I said, hopefully we can stay in the game for a half, but then I expect UHigh to win by 4 TDs. That’s my best prediction.

UHigh has 6A depth 😂😂😂😂 a lot of kids that can play. . It just seems like with lab's talent and the right coaching there shouldn't be a team in the state period they can't match up with on a given night.

I don't doubt the predictions I'm sure it will work out that way. This is more of a mismatch in particular positions. QB-UHigh mainly because McKernan doesn’t turn it over and a 3 year starter. He’s a gamer RB-Lab, Davis and Thornton arguably best duo in state. WR-tough, I’ll go push. Lab talent is younger but arguably better. The gap isn’t wide here either way you go. I don’t think Tongue is an amazing wr, but he’s got mitts for hands. Christian Harris is really physical at wr and doryan is a slippery quick slot. Reginald and Teddy can burn for Lab DL vs OL- this one is tricky both way. UHigh is more disciplined up front and the continuity is key on both sides. Roy vs Thomas is a really good matchup. Thomas got the best of him at UA camp in Houston but Roy is so damn quick. I’ll go UHigh here LB-Not close, Constantin alone is pretty much better than any LB we have. I venture to guess Tongue will also be at LB, that’s a Clemson and Georgia commit that are pretty good DBs-UHigh. Christian Harris is every bit of what they list him at and very physical. Clark, say what you will about him but he’s a student of the game for sure, knack for being in the right place. Special Teams-sigh, UHigh easily. The little things can make the game turn ugly, short punts, having to go for it on 4th when your opponent can get 3.

OL/DL are kind of close but UHigh is deeper. Teddy and Tonka are power 5 recruits at WR for Lab. UHigh owns the LBs and special teams. Mike Hollins was at Lab and transferred to UHigh.

Man this game is a week away. We gotta figure out how to get through Riverside tonight 😩😂😂😂😂 Think they’ll be ok tonight. Think I mentioned before, they have two athletic WRs maybe 3 if Bigham is playing. As it has been the past 3 years, Riverside offense focuses on Foley and run game. The big NG is back but they are thin in depth and size this year. They lost some really talented kids.

U don’t get to watch uhigh much do u lol Yea lab got talent Uhigh has same type talent and more plus top notch coaching . Ive seen them and I j ow the coaching us tfe real difference. Do you think there is a blowout's difference in physical talent? I bet in 2-3 years if you look at the rosters the D1 signees are very close. I think playing lab every year has numbed you to how talented they are individually. There isn't a team 1-5A private or public who will have many more D1 signees.

And I'm not arguing that U high will win easily. I'm sure they will I wondering why lol. And I guess it's as simple depth and coaching.

Absolutely not a blowout in talent no But uhigh has plenty d1 players surrounded by very quality high school players who are smart and well coached and disciplined. To me that’s the difference not just in this game but in many top programs like uhigh and for instance john Curtis. You go back and look at john Curtis history, they may not have the physical talent as far as the number of d1 recruits as either of these teams, but their coaching and talented high school players get them thru nearly every season undefeated That’s the difference to me You hear jklee saying he hopes their coach don’t try to get to cute? Have you ever heard that about jt Curtis? Lol Just the difference bw those kinds of programs Can lab hang with or even beat uhigh? Sure Is it likely No But if u want to watch a high school football game featuring arguably the best recruits in the state of Louisiana and in some cases the country.... This is ur game

This is ur game no doubt I agree completely on those points. Heck I've seen it first hand my entire life. I watched Vic Dalymple coached teams beat countless teams with way more talent. Usually we were 3rd or 4th in our district in talent ,much less the state and he still put together one of the top programs. I guess I just wonder what lab would be with a coach that caliber. I don't think I would want to see it lol.
