Iowa @ Kinder- the second year of the battle for 383. Last year was an instant classic with Kinder losing by only ten points while fumbling the ball late in the 4th on their own 6 yard line. This uearr both teams have lost a lot of starters but at this point Iowa seems to have took a step back of sorts. Winner:Kinder
Lake Arthur @ Pickering- I look for the Tigers to be dominant again this week.Pickering still doesn't appear to habe the juice Winner: Lake Arthur
Breaux Bridge @ Notre Dame- Last week Notre Dame dominated 5 A LaGrange and Breaux Bridge got dominated by TC.Breeaux Bridge has the size advantage but that is what Notre Dame usually faces weekly. Winner:Pios in a run away
Welsh @ Kaplan- Welsh looked impressive last week and showed they are not only one dimensional. Kaplan also had a good showing against Acadiana. Until Welsh shows me something different I can't pick against them again this week. Winner: Welsh Ville Platte @ Pine Prarie-I look fro Pine prairie to unleash a dominant running game this week Winner: Pine Prarie

Ville Platte will give it hell for a quarter, but a muddy field and a powerful Panther rushing attack will end it by halftime. Sims racked up 185 yards on 22 carries in the loss against Tioga. Mental mistakes stalled a lot of our drives that night. The Indians legit stopped us only a handful of times.

Iowa at Kinder: This game will give us a better idea of where we're at with such a young team. Defense has been fast and aggressive but against Oberlin and Oakdale. Iowa has only scored 3 points so far but they do have some experience back so i'm expecting a tough game for us. Kinder
Lake Arthur at Pickering: Lake Arthur won big last year. Tigers are improved and Pickering is still bad. Lake Arthur
Breaux Bridge at Notre Dame: Not much to say about this one. Breaux Bridge is suppose to be much better this year but its only been one game so who knows for sure. Notre Dame just does what they always do. Notre Dame
Welsh at Kaplan: This game is very intriguing. Pirates played Acadiana tough again and this time both teams had a full week of practice. Welsh scored an impressive win last week. Pirates are always tough at home but Hounds won't be intimidated. Forget what happened in those Jamboree games. Welsh
Ville Platte at Pine Prairie: This game was 26-6 last year in Pine Prairie favor and should be again. Pine Prairie

Kinder vs Iowa.....what a game! Thriller to the very end, but the young kinder team never gave up, but neither did Iowa. Iowa has a huge and well coached line and the Self kid runs very hard. They ran the trap on us with success and their center must be 350+ lbs and their qb can throw better than i thought he would. I think they will be one of these teams that no one wants to play by district. I cant say enough about kinder's offensive line that opened up the holes and gave hayes the time to throw some well placed passes. The option worked for us and the defense had 2 4th and 1 stands that kept us in the game. This defense will be tested thru the air when we play BB next week. The 4-6 record that channel 7 posted about kinder is great inspiration for this team with no superstars or d1 players, but hearts like lions. Go big K.
Hats off to lake arthur and ville platte, especially ville platte who suprised me with the win over pine prairie.

Ville Platte showed up to play and our inexperience on the line and defensive backfield were exposed. But, we also lost out on 4 scores: two called back for penalties and two due to stalled drive that a penalty stalled and a bad call by a ref on a backwards pass that we recovered in the end zone.
