It looks like they and Destrehan are the new favorites as Zachary has been DECIMATED at linebacker.
They lost Milton tonight for the season and McClure is already lost. Brady didnt play tonight and do not know his status.
No way on hell Zachary will overcome those losses. None

Never seen a thing like it. I was wondering why catholic was staying so close to them any team can have these terrible injuries. I feel bad for the kids. as much as we love our teams it is sad to here two fine athletes from the Broncos are lost for the season.

None This WM def. is two deep. when the 2's where in the game with Mcgill T there was no let down. This may be the best def. Wm has ever had and that is saying a lot. time will tell there are many good teams left to play before that statement can be validated.

I didnt listen to the fame fanman and has WM pegged to win in the prediction thread after seeing film and talking to a couple Hoover folks who said they werent physical enough or athletic enough for LA powerhouses. Zachary looked good, but without those linebackers who were the SOUL of their team they looked lost on Defense half the night. Better watch out for Ouachita. They are real. I never say that, but they are legit. Dont laugh it is real. Lolol.

Haha. Ruston just lost to Acadiana at home. What? Ouachita has a legit quarterback for once and speed on both sides. They are a bigger threat than Ruston. Zachary lost, lololol. Had to be in the last minute as i turned it off. They looked lost as a gosling without their mother without those linebackers (3 of them). Separation time. It is possible we may see an all 2-5A championship for the first time this year. I think WM and Ouachita and Destrehan are the best teams in 5A now with Ouachita taking Zacharys place.

Parkway seems to be playing well this year, but only been one game and a jamboree worth of work. Really shocked at Ruston losing even if it was on a last second heave hail mary play. I needed to see them beat Acadiana badly at home. Shocker.

The Hail Mary was a miracle Kid broke 3 tackles just to be able to get to the outside to throw it and the receiver made a hell of a catch . Two very solid teams . Both are really good.

What a game tonight! Way to hang in there and make plays when you had to!!! LOUISIANA FOOTBALL BABY! I got there at the beginning of the second half. McGill-Toolen sort of took control and dominated the second half. The Rebel fans around me were tearing into their own team, and started leaving when McGill Toolen got the ball on the last drive.
After West Monroe used their last time out on the first play I knew this came was over because McGill-Toolen could just take a knee twice and run the clock out. I was looking at scores on my phone and all of a sudden the Rebel fans are screaming and the next thing I know the Rebs are talking a fumble 50 yards for a touchdown to tie the game. I did not even see what happened.
I am happy Louisiana won, but the Alabama boys have to be kicking themselves for being so stupid. Those Rebel fans that left early have to be kicking themselves too.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.... I was not impressed with the highlights i saw of McGill and the only team worth a damn in that division 7 is Hoover who owns it. I thought WM would win a close one. I watched the Catholic/Zachary game and Zachary offense is scary, but their defense without those 3 starting linebackers WERE LOST AF out there to put it nicely. We all spoke about how injuries are what will undo that squad and tonight it did just that. Maybe Parkway part Deux. I know for certain they lost #34 Milton the senior for the year and McClure hasnt played at all all year long. Zachary is toast without them from what i saw. University will BLOW them out.

BGH! Great point!! It's amazing how some "fans" bail out on their team when they think they are going to lose! I didn't know that all McGill had to do was take a knee and run out the clock. How Dumb!! What were they trying to accomplish by running a play??

I bet it would be fair to say WM had more fans there than any other team by far. We were controlling the game not dominating the way we would have liked. We were ahead by 7 and driving when our receiver missed a pass and their defender intercepted the pass and ran it back deep into our territory. The game changed in that instance.I hate to give a number because BGH will want to know how I came up with it but at the end with 45 or so seconds we had probably less than a 2% chance of winning. If people are ready to leave than so be it. As for the grumbling fans it was probably because we have no offence to speak of and don't know where we are going to get one.

I don't remember the exact time, but it seems like to me that there was a little over a minute left when McGill Toolen stopped West Monroe and took over possession. I was surprised that they ran the ball on the first play, but when West Monroe used their last timeout I think there was just under a minute to go.That is why I was looking at my phone and not the game.
I did see on the jumbo screen that M-T tried another running play that got stretched along the line to their left. Instead of going the the ground the runner, who was being gang tackled, was fighting to stay up and they stripped the ball from him. The ball never touched the ground and there was a Rebel convoy to the end-zone.
To be fair, I wouldn't say that those West Monroe fans bailed out of their team, because that game was OVER. If M-T takes a knee twice there is nothing West Monroe can do and everybody in the stands knew it. This was just one of those miracle plays that they will be talking about 25 years from now.

Some wild finishes last night across the state.
Looking like South Plaquemines knows his stuff. Destrehan with a defense is about unstoppable. Next week against Ehret we will find out how good Desty really is.
West Monroe with any offense is about unstoppable with this defense. Zachary is now in the rearview mirror. Still cant stop the pass and linebackers are on leave from injury.
Evangel seems shell-shocked from last seasons end. Who is their Offensive-Coordinator? Seems nothing is being done to fix it the last 2 years.
Curtis best an average team in Texas (#26) by a TD. I expected more of a beat down.

Come on now ...... the only time I question your numbers is when you exaggerate. There are no exaggerations here.
I did not see the first half, so I never really saw a time when West Monroe was in control of the game. I bet you are right about the WM crowd, in fact I would bet they had more fans than every other team combined. That will probably change tonight when Byrd plays.
I agree with your less than 2% chance assessment. This game was over and that is why I don't think there was any shame for those who left early. Hopefully they heard the roar of the crowd before they got outside of the gates.
The fans I heard grumbling were mostly aggravated that West Monroe was not trying to throw the ball. They could see McGill Toolen marching down the field throwing the ball, yet they see their own team being conservative.
Last night I was a Louisiana fan, so I am happy West Monroe won.

Hole up? That team ran a STRETCH PLAY? LOLOLOLOL... Ethan been playing exceptional along with Gleason. May be the difference this year. Last year the injury bug hit Gleason and Swanner wasnt close to 100. They bad. Offense slowly coming around. Dominated on that 15 play drive. With Zachary losing they may have to travel up to Rebel land for a 3rd time if the cards fall like they may. They arent beating University.

It souls have been a beatdown but in my opinion, one play changed the game. Curtis is smashing them 21-0 and Lynch look like a team that isn't confused and beaten down. Curtis is up 21-0 and they have the ball first and goal inside the 1 yard line of Lynch. An easy QB sneak and the game is 28-0 and completely out of hand at this point. 28-0 and I honestly think that lynch would have folded their hand, BUT then it happened. A fumble in the endzone and Lynch ran it back 100 yards for the TD and now it's 21-7 instead of 28-0 and a huge momentum swing. Curtis couldn't do anything after that!

Moncrief has done well. He was brought up under Coach Thompson and Doaty Great against the run, but i doubt his ability to defend the pass. So far they have yet to play a team with an offensive line that can handle them up front. I dont know if they will either lolol. At least not until the playoffs.
