I went a perfect 5-0 last week let's see how I Fare on my picks this week
Notre Dame 3-0 @ Catholic-N.I. 3-0: this seems to be the most intriguing match up in this district. Both teams have posted undefeated records so far. Notre Dame appears to have the harder schedule up to this point but Catholic-N.I. is a little more loaded. I see this game as a toss up but my mind tells me to go with Catholic. My gut tells me don't pick against Coach Cook. Winner: Catholic-N.I.
Kaplan 1-2 @ Kinder 2-1: Kaplans 2 loss should not be over looked losing against Acadiana and Church Point. Now they face their third opponent in 4 weeks with a power runniing attack. A young Kinder team has been incomplete so far this season with a few starters out that will reeturn this week. Kinder will have to get physical this week in order to be successful. Easier said than done when you are trying to out physical Kaplan. If Kinder's youth doesn't show up as it did last week this could be a good game but if it does and we can't match Kaplan physicality it could be a long night at John C. Buck Stadium Winner: Kaplan
Avoyelles 1-2 @ Welsh 2-1: Welsh regained some confidence last week taking Loreauville to the woodshed. This week they face Avoyelles who is a classic ground and pound attack and has been known to put up points in the past. I think Avoyelles will be out matched against the Greyhounds. Winner:Welsh
Lake Arthur 2-1 @ Vinton 2-1: both teams come in with identical records. Both teams lost their first game of the season last week. Neither teams first 2 opponents were very strong but Opelousas handled Vinton Pretty good. Lake Arthur went blow for blow against a pretty big Iota squad beefpre they fell apart in the fourth quarter. Lake Arthur will have to keep Vinton off balance too be successful. I believe LA will be touch to handle. Winner:Lake Arthur (coach Davis loses to his Alma Mater)
Pickering 0-3 @ Ville Platte 1-2: Ville Platte got beat up last Week against 3A Washington Marion but faces an opponent this week that has only scored 21 total point in 3 games and has given up 100 more than that. I look for Ville Platte's athleticism to consume Pickering. Winner: Ville Platte

I know your mind, so I would definitely go with your gut!
And “a young Kinder” is getting old.

Don't know my mind that well Indy I forgot Your 5-0 week made you a genius, my bad. I've only picked 3 wrong in toss up so far this year. Welsh/ Rayne. I didn't know too much about Rayne. The Ville Platte over Pine Prarie surprised everyone and Kaplan over Welsh had potential of going either way

Every team is basically young, we all have 15-18 year old kids Experience comes with time. We all played a scrimmage, a jamboree, and three games this year. But you know me enough to know that I’m taking s jab at y’all.

Kaplan by two touchdowns Welsh and Lake Author both win easily Pickering and VP, no clue but I think VP is less bad so I’ll go with them.

Congrats to Kaplan on that beat down as much as I hate to see it happen. Another feather in their cap is the fact that the last time Kinder lost a game by 30+ points on the home field was October 10, 2008 to Welsh....nearly 10 years ago. Kaplan should make some more noise going forward good luck the rest of the way

Congratulations to kaplan, we saw some old school football and some "im gonna run it till you stop it" football. Their offensive line is the strength of their team no doubt. Our young linebackers got a taste of what a good line was like and we payed for it. If we were hoping for some homefield advantage from the refs, that didnt happen. The holding penalties or illegal shifts at those critical times during the drive hurt while the game was within reach. We had a touchdown called back that so we settled for 3 points and 2 deep passes where the secondary was burnt but passes dropped. The option was working but we stopped running it after the first quarter. Our diveback did well, but he is not in game shape yet, but he will be a gamechanger when he can go all game. Old coach Buck thinking would have had the dline dive at the feet of the oline and make a big pile at the line of scrimmage so kaplan would have to get outside, but what do i know. 30 point loss sucks but this team is still putting things together and moving guys around so i think when it comes together we will be ok.
