The final score was 24-10. It should have been 38-10. Zachary dropped 2 easy touchdowns. I don't think Live Oak is anywhere close to beating Zachary. One matchup all night had a Zachary WR who was at least 6 inches taller than the Live Oak defender.
Zachary did not run their QB Brown very often, but when they did it worked. Live Oak ran Palermo many times, and he was hobbling by the second quarter. He is a tough player, but he was hit far too many times. He had a big run, but was easily run down by the Zachary guys. He threw for about 85 yards. Very inaccurate.
Keilon Brown is a far better quarterback than Sal Palermo. Zachary has much more team speed than Live Oak. Live Oak has the better running back in Kee Hawkins.
Zachary's weakness is that they do not have a good running back.

Well, I was at that game. And while I can't really debate the specific points that you make, I came away from the game with a little different feel.
It seemed to me that LO was initially shocked by Zachary's team speed. Z jumped out to a quick 17-0 lead, but then LO seemed to get their feet underneath themselves.
Keilon Brown might be a better QB than Sam Palermo. But Palermo is a better QB for Live Oaks system. Palermo threw the ball better than I thought he would.
Z had very little running game inside. They did their damage on quick outs and long passes. Plays that fit their speed advantage. They didn't win the interior battles, which they normally do. After the first quarter, they didn't win the line of scrimmage on either side of the ball.
Yes, Zachary is probably better. But to me, Live Oak played a much better game than you give them credit for, and they had a real contribution to the problems that Zachary had.
Live Oak is better than I had anticipated.

Live Oak qb was 9 for 24 for 83 yards. He is a very inaccurate passer. A good, tough runner.
Live Oak will lose to either Walker, Central or Scotlandville.
Denham Springs next week will be a good one to watch also.

I see that Walker is a pretender. Or, possibly Catholic, University, and Zachary are just better than everyone else outside possibly Curtis in Louisiana. No WM isnt beating Zachary. After seeing Ruston and that QB run and throw the ball all over the field WM will not contain Zachary and they arent running the ball on Zachary. Maybe Karr. I expected more from Walker tonight. They beat some good teams this year.
