Well to be honest. You don't need much to win in 1A Baseball. Any of the Top 4 maybe some of the Top 8 in Class B could/would win 1A Baseball without breaking much of a sweet. Just saying.
On the serious note, what happen to the coach that left?

Who did Logansport decide on for head baseball coach. We open our season with Logansport in Logansport. We opened with Logansport last season and they were impressive and I’ve heard that they have most of that team back from last season.

They have most of the team back but only maybe 6 games before they head into a tough district schedule. These boys have been playing together all of their lives but can’t manage to get over the hump. They have lost 2 starters and a head coach before the season has even started. They have a senior and a junior that could play D1 ball.

Logansport lead off (#1) who I believe is your catcher is really good. He started their offense off last night with a bomb. The young man who started on the mound and your shortstop were good also I thought. Y’all are well rounded and hit the ball well and I believe y’all will have a good season. Opening season with this Many/Logansport game is always exciting. I was also impressed with some of your coaches decisions on for instance squeezing which your guys executed perfectly. Good luck to Logansport this season.

Many bats got hot and there were a few errors. Logansport did play a good game and they have a good team. Good luck to y’all.

Many bats got hot and there were a few errors. Logansport did play a good game and they have a good team. Good luck to y’all. Leadoff hitter for Logansport is Austin Edgar. He is as close to a 5 tool kid that you will see in North LA. He plays catcher but that may not be his best position. He should be playing college ball this time next year. Many started hitting the ball and the pitcher (Darden) got gassed. He threw over 90 pitches in his first start so that’s understandable. If you’re a fan of Logansport, you have gotten accustomed to the one awful inning that they have had in several games over the past 5 years. That’s what happened vs. Many. Coach Bart seems like he isn’t afraid to mix it up and that’s great. If they had just one vocal leader on the team it would make a huge difference.

Well this season sure has been an embarrassment so far and I just don't see them turning it around, don't really understand what's going on here?

Well this season sure has been an embarrassment so far and I just don't see them turning it around, don't really understand what's going on here? Well, it starts at the top. Some really awful pitching decisions have cost them a couple of games but when you average 5 errors/game, it’s hard to win. It has been said that the coach takes more ground balls in practice than the players do. Bottom line is it’s not football so nobody really cares.

Losing 4 seniors I think and the top junior left for Captain Shreve halfway through the season, we've got a little talent coming up but nothing like this senior class.

What about the younger talents coming from Jr. High? I'm sure whoever the next coach is will be have something to work with and bring Logansport baseball back on top.

They do have potential but just not the talent level this senior class has. I have a son in the 7th grade and one that's a junior so I've watched both groups throughout the years, I just hope they can finally get a good coach in there or at least this coach can make a huge turn around.

Didn't you guys just get a new coach a season or two ago? Won a state championship with a previous team, private school I believe.

Yea he was a bust, only coached one full season and it was pretty disappointing then he "resigned" during football season not sure on details and I don't like spreading rumors so I'll leave the reasons unsaid. I really thought his replacement would be good because he's young but he hasn't gained the respect of the boys and doesn't manage the game very well especially when it comes to making pitching decisions.

I hope you're right because we were headed in the right direction 3 years ago but the last 2 years have been really disappointing, we beat East Iberville 18-2 last night and get Grand Lake at home on Friday hopefully we can pull off the upset and make our first trip to Sulphur.

East Iberville was pretty awful. Logansport made the 3rd out on the base paths in 3 of the first 4 innings. The coaches don’t communicate with the base runners at all & then they blow up all of the sudden when the kid gets thrown out. No coaching or strategy, just reaction. Kids will move a runner over and no one seems to know that it’s a good thing. The baseball IQ has certainly fallen there. If the seniors can find a way to pull it off in spite of the coach it will be awesome!

Forgot to mention that the first base coach hasn’t taken his hands out of his pocket all year. So the head coach doesn’t have much help either. You can bet your butt that if it was football, they wouldn’t have a first year coach and no support staff!!
