Why don't they just go to Block? They have less than 20 kids.
If I don't get an answer here I'll ask in Football.

Larto is 26 miles from Block. I think "distance" is the determining reason. In that parish, Harrisonburg and Sicily Island each have a HS and are only separated by 9 miles or so. Harrisonburg is only 10 miles from Block. Very surprising that there isn't some sort of "consolidation" in that parish.

So, Central-Jonesville is not actually in Jonesville, but in a place called Larto 26 miles away? I had no idea because the address says "Jonesville". Larto must be a very small place; there isn't even a Wikipedia Article about it... Well in that case, I guess I can see the reason of their existence. But seriously, with less than 20 kids and only 1 available sport (I guess there aren't enough girls to make a GBB team), I think something needs to be done about it so those kids could have more opportunities.

I also think they fund themselves. Not positive but I don't think the parish pays for anything.

I haven't been there in ages, but when I was in school they were in our distict. There was boat ramp at the school. Seemed like we started driving and when the road ended, we were there. It is way off the beaten path.
