Since we all can’t get enough high school football why not a few more games in the Dome, the week of finals. But let’s make the additional games Select VS Non-Select.
For this here we could have had the following three games.
Destrehan Vs. Rummel
Iota Vs. Country Day
Haynesville Vs. Southern Lab
The games would pit quality Select Vs. Non-Select teams. This would be fun for public against private schools. Come on LHSAA, you know you want to squeeze as much $$$$$’s as possible.

I have said it before the LHSAA handbook says a bowl game may be played, but it doesn't specify that it is in place of the playoffs as someone commented on here. I say play an additional game with the proceeds going to charity and only if both sides agree select v. nonselect

You could pick the teams from the semi final losers that had the highest team gpa’s or some more objective educational standard. That way you are rewarding teams for the on field accomplishment Of making the semi finals and also rewarding the idea of the student athlete

I say play an additional game with the proceeds going to charity and only if both sides agree select v. nonselect LHSAA Handbook, Section 6 Athletic Contests: 6.16 POST SEASON BOWL GAMES - A school shall not play in more than one post-season bowl game in the sport of football per season. Only schools failing to make the playoffs shall be bowl eligible. A bowl game conducted in Louisiana shall be sponsored by a member school and approved by the LHSAA. The sponsoring school’s principal shall make a written request to the LHSAA for contest approval at least 14 days prior to the date of the contest. Approval application for such games shall constitute an agreement between the sponsoring and opposing schools indicating they shall comply with LHSAA rules and regulations. The sponsoring school shall pay the LHSAA ten percent (10%) of the gross ticket receipts before payment of officials within 30 calendar days of the event. In order for an LHSAA school to participate in an out-of-state bowl game, the school principal shall make a written request to the LHSAA for permission to play in the bowl game prior to the date of the contest.

I didn't find that when I was reading it so then yes we are stuck with the current split for the foreseeable future because I dont see 280 principles voting to end it

They spread it around so it's not easy to find.

Zachary vs John Curtis in a bowl game would be comical. John Curtis would win that game by at least two TDS. No sense in talking about it. Zachary would never play that game.
