Lafayette Christian @ Acadiana
Knights big opportunity to prove themselves as an emerging state power against perennial 5A juggernaut.
Alexandria @ Parkway
ASH needs a big win after a close wins over 2A power Ferriday and an average 3A Brusly team. Win for Parkway could vault them into Top 10 in 5A after convincing wins over some good 4A teams in first two games.
Archbishop Rummel @ Oak Grove (MS)
Very talented Raiders looking for their 2nd win over an out-of-state powerhouse this year.
Barbe @ Catholic-NI
Bucs need a win here after getting embarrassed by STM and with district play starting next week in a deep 3-5A a 1-2 start could spell trouble. Would be a big win over a 5A team for 2A Panthers as they look to rebound from loss to 4A Breaux Bridge.
Captain Shreve @ Scotlandville
This would be a statement win for Captain Shreve after blowing out Woodlawn-SHR on the big state at BOTB. Scotlandville looking to build their resume against a tough Gator team.
Catholic-BR @ University Lab
Cubs hope to bounce back after being shut out by Neville and losing their 20+ game win streak. Win here would pretty much crown Bears as Kings of Baton Rouge after Zachary started 0-2 and EA got smacked by Haughton last week.
St. Paul's @ Destrehan
Win here would help Wildcats build their resume as a title contender in 5A. Topping off a win over Jesuit with an upset of Destrehan would be huge for Wolves.
John Ehret @ G.W. Carver
Rams need a big win here after being shutout by Brother Martin last week. Would be a big win for Ehret over a talented Carver team.
Helen Cox @ Jesuit
Both teams looking for a big win here after losses in Week 2. Both teams are uber talented with multiple D1 athletes on the field for this one.
West Monroe @ Longview (TX)
Win here over a defending Texas state champ would be massive for Rebs in their search for a recently elusive state title.
Brandon (MS) @ Zachary
Zachary got embarrassed by an OOS powerhouse on the big stage at BOTB. Hopefully lightning doesn't strike twice against the Mississippi power and the Broncos can avoid a surprising 0-3 start after winning 3 of last 4 state titles in 5A.
Assumption @ E.D. White
Would be a big win here for either team, maybe more so for EDW.
Breaux Bridge @ St. Martinville
SMHS looking to bounce back from shocking blowout loss to Lafayette and stay relevant against a BBHS team that just topped 2A CHSNI.
Edna Karr @ Warren Easton
No description need. Pair of 4A powerhouses face off in NOLA's most heated rivalry. Rematch of last year's 4A state title game, which Karr won by 28-27.
Pulaski Academy (AR) @ Evangel
Eagles meet with Arkansas power and their unconventional style of play while trying to bounce back from upset loss to Bastrop.
Minden @ North Webster
So who is the best team to beat Haynesville in early 2019? Knights look to stay unbeaten after wins over two 1A powerhouses. Tide looking to avoid 1-2 start after showing promise in blowout win over Haynesville.
Many @ North DeSoto
Tigers trying to right the ship and get win #1 in 2019. Griffins looking for first win at home under Dennis Dunn.
De La Salle @ St. Charles
Former district foes look for signature win in early 2019. Both look to be title contenders in their respective divisions.
Lake Arthur @ Iota
Bulldogs were dominant against Welsh in Week 2 and look to stay hot. Win would be huge for Tigers after following up comeback win over Basile with being on the other end of a comeback in loss to DeQuincy.
Jena @ Ouachita Christian
Toughest non-district opponent for the Giants in a while. Eagles looking to bounce back after blowout loss to Sterlington.
St. Louis @ Kinder
Saints off to a hot start after shootout win over Crowley and narrowly upsetting Jena. Jackets looking to avoid going 0-2 against 4-3A teams.
Oak Grove @ Sterlington
Matchup between two teams that made it to the Dome in 2018. Panthers already 2-0 against 1A powers early in 2019.
Dunham @ Parkview Baptist
Eagles answered 62-7 spanking by CHSBR with 51-0 shutout over 1A Slaughter Charter. Tigers have outscored opponents 93-8 in their first two games and this would be a big road win for Dunham.
East Feliciana @ Kentwood
Roos looking to right the ship after being shut out in Week 1 and squeaking by rival Sumner. Win here would cement Tigers as title contenders in 2A.
Jewel Sumner @ St. Helena
Would be a big win for either team. Cowboys fell short of win over the 2018 1A champs and rival Kentwood last week and Hawks fell to a sturdy East Fel squad.
