I miss the days of actual basketball tournaments. I'm talking about ones with a drawn out bracket, there seem to be very few now. I used to love going to the Midland Spectacular and watching all the teams. Now you get a tournament with 10 teams and each teams plays 2-3 games. You end up with 3 undefeated teams who never played each other.

Definitely should consider coming to it! Usually the teams are- DeQuincy Westlake LCCP Sulphur DeRidder Johnson Bayou Hamilton Christian Iowa Sam Houston Elton Kelly Catholic-Beaumont Bridge City

Round Robin is where you play everyone. It is actually a bracket type tournament but if you do lose you get to play against other losers haha. Its during thanksgiving break and they have a championship game, tshirts, trophy etc. They still did this last year and as far as I know have done it this way over the past 12+ years.

I agree, though last I checked Hamilton Christian has a great one every year that always includes some of the better teams in the LHSAA. Plus, if you watch the host team, as you're probably familiar with, coach Washington in and of himself is a fun watch, along with his team which he always has coached up well

Madison Prep probably has the best one going this way now. Usually it’s defending champions or favorites that are there. I went two years ago there was Madison Prep, Riverside, Woodlawn-Sheveport, jehovah jireh, carencro amongst others I’m forgetting. Usually right after Christmas, eager to see who’s in this years

Of course, Scottlandville won that year's torunament, and I'm pretty sure they beat HC like 81-24 or something like that that year.

I didn't get a chance to see them play but I was told they have a 6'9 center who signed with LA Tech. Name is Kenny Hunter. To beat Madison Prep like that they have to be pretty good.

Bossier beat Rayville rather easily so it will be Huntington and Bossier playing for the championship at 6:30. Dunham beat North Central in the Consolation Final.

the tournament is in Holden?
Last year it was at Maurepas I believe. I know they that rotate gyms, but they should have had it at Denham Springs, Walker, or Live Oak. Walker has brand new gym, Live Oaks is about 6 years old and Denham Springs remodeled after the flood
