Yeah since ex west monroe star Josh Brown got there they've taken it to another level. If he's not the next coach at west monroe somethings wrong.

Game 1 Fri vs Hall 9:30 AM (Little Rock Arkansas school) Game 2 Sat vs Bishop Lynch 11 AM (Dallas school) Duncanville stud is the coaches son Micah Peavy, Texas Tech commit. Wing player about 6’5” but frail. He’s solid. Moved to Dallas from Houston via San Antonio. Played at Dekaney in Houston first.

Talked to assistant coach. Game was close and extended lead in 4th quarter. 17-10 in 4th quarter. Port Allen made 10 for 13 on free throws in the game.
Hall form Little Rock was state runner up in Arkansas 5A last year.
Collin Holloway had 10, Towasky Johnson had 16, Jalen Knox had 12.
They are playing Sulphur Springs right now. Rescheduled game. Sulphur Springs is in Texas. 5A school with enrollment around 1300 and they made the semifinals last year in Texas 5A.
In 4th quarter Port Allen is up 53-37. I am telling ya'll the Pels are serious this year.

beat Sulphur Springs 60-50. 2-0 against tough competition. Go Pels Go!!! Sounds like the squad is pretty serious. Not sure what talent Arkansas produces in basketball, but I’m sure a Texas school that big has some nice players.

Who is gonna beat them in 2A? Rayville? lost lots of players? Rayville will still be good. Think top 5 will be Port Allen, Rayville, JH, Lakeview, Red River. All schools that consistently produce good teams, especially within the past 3 years. Lake Arthur and Winnfield might have good squads as well. Port Allen seems to be a little above the rest at the moment, but it should be a pretty competitive 2A, unlike Rayville practically being crowned champs before the season started the past couple years.

Fairview looks to be on a path to an undefeated season. Has some 40 and 50 point wins over 5A schools. Wonder what stopped them from winning it all last year?
