During reclassification Crescent City moved to 1A because they were supposedly gonna play football. They didn't play football and it seemed like they were still in Class C as they had been listed in the D5 basketball power ratings the last 3 months. However, this last week they showed up in the LHSAA's D4 power ratings (not this site's power ratings) as the #2 team. I've never seen any like that. Is that a mistake or are they a 1A school? I wonder.

From what it seems is that Crescent City claimed they were gonna play football this year and during the LHSAA re-classification meeting they put Crescent City in 1A. Then after re-classification is done Crescent City opts not to play football and so now they are staying in 1A until the next cycle. A few years ago University Academy dropped football in-between cycles and they stayed in 1A until the next cycle and then moved down to B. So Crescent City will probably stay in 1A until the next cycle because at the time of re-classification they were supposed to play football and move to 1A but they didnt
