I heard from a source very close to the matter that at a meeting of the Catholic schools, 50 of 52 Catholic schools said they'd be in favor of leaving the LHSAA if a new organization were to form, possibly even spear-heading the forming of said league. Anyone "in the know" have more details or can vouch for the truth of this statement?

Footbal will be played on friday nights just the same for all schools involved...........both catholic and non catholic.

I know the school my son goes to is being tight lipped about the matter, no one in adm is talking about it which isn't normal for them.

The Cooperative that the "select/private" schools are considering. Does anyone know if this would be for Fall 2016 (after June vote) or is still 1-2 years away? I've heard both and was wondering if anyone in the know really knows.

I expect that you will see all of NOLA Catholic league and John Curtis, all of Baton Rouge Catholic Schools and Parkview and all of the Lafayette Catholic schools make an immediate jump. 5A/4A. Then within a year or two the remainder of the Catholic Schools and the majority of the non-Catholic private schools will join them. Evangel may also make the jump in year one.
