They played tonight in BR and it was streamed on LCA Facebook.
Game went to OT, Catholic won 64-58
Most of Catholic's points came from 3, and LCA slightly lead for most of the game before going cold to end the game.
First game with Jacob Broussard as Head Coach; Broussard graduated from LCA after my freshman year there (2014). If this game is any indicator, they'll continue to roll along; this is a team whose best players for the most part are on the younger side (including Cam Williams, the 6'5 sharpshooting brother of Greg who's a freshman, and Braylon Edwards, a sopre point guard who started as a freshman as well)
Catholic looks like they're going to be what they usually are, and that's a really good team at the 5A/Div-I level, both schools are certainly waiting for some guys playing football. They still almost certainly won't beat Scottlandville or, if this team's close to what they were last year, St Aug

Lca must have lost quite a few players off last year's team I didn't recognize many players. That Francis kid was good and so was the Dupre kid.

Yeah, Vic graduated and so did Billy Francis Jr. There were a few other seniors, I am 99% sure the 6'4-ish post player graduated as well. Still, if a group that seems to be this young did this well against Catholic of Baton Rouge, I feel really good about them. Real test December 15th against Madison Prep according to MaxPreps, I may try to attend that one since it'll be LSU's winter break by then

Catholic won't beat Scotlandville as long as Carlos Sample is coaching at Scotlandville.
The Broussard coach at LCA, didn't he have a brother that played also? They were good players, I remember them. He most be about 25 years old I would think.

Yes, he had a twin brother. Jacob Broussard, the current coach, also played at ULL.
And I don’t know how old he is, but you’re right, he cant be much older than 25 if at all.
