Whats it looking like down south for 3A?
Berwick Iota Iowa South Beau Lutcher
These teams are always in the mix, anyone have any info on these teams and anyone else that may be primed for a run?
Sterlington will be solid again this year and are primed for another run curious on the other guys.

As long as Rick Whittington is their coach Iowa will always be a threat. South Beauregard has good Baseball tradition as well so count on them being good. Not sure about Iota but Lutcher and Berwick are also one of the schools that always has baseball talent and can make a run anytime. Be interesting to see what Brusly, Erath, and West Feliciana got this year. They've made multiple runs in recent years.

Last I heard Rick was the coach. Then again I don't follow Iowa other than looking at box scores and brackets. So there might have been a change.

Nobody has said anything about Jena. Did they lose alot? They've had some good teams the last couple of years.

I think Jena lost something like 7 Seniors. Thats always tough to overcome. I think there are alot of people who dont realize how good they were last year.

Does anyone know where you can access the power rankings from the end of last year's Covid shortened season?

Kaplan and St. Martinville were both top 5 seeds last year when the season stopped. What do those 2 programs look like for this season?

I wouldn’t count out David Thibideaux this year. Mostly all freshman and sopres last year. Only one senior coming back this year. They look pretty fair. Not bad for a young program. They are really getting excited over there and with a new field in the mix that is being built and finished this year these you g men might have something to actually fight for.

Kaplan and St. Martinville were both top 5 seeds last year when the season stopped. What do those 2 programs look like for this season? Too early in the season last year to put anything into power ratings. Kaplan had only beaten Patterson (3 games) and Welsh (2 games) who were both middle of the pack teams. St Martinville split with Comeaux then beat ESA, Franklin, Washington-Marion, and Southside. Kaplan struggled to beat Delcambre 4-1 last night. St Martinville lost to Comeaux 25-1. Neither team will be competing for anything this season.

Kaplan has a really good pitcher, beyond that they are very young. Last year was their year. If he has a good game then they can compete in their district.

Is Daniel Hennigan not the coach at Iowa anymore? Your right. It is Hennigan now. Don't know anything about him but if he's just a good coach Iowa will be a contender. Hennigan has been the coach since 2018 and he replaced Richard. Whittington was just a part time assistant at Iowa for a number of years. All great coaches.
