How is this not a top story in the state?? Two of the worst athletic program’s historically are about to battle for a spot in the boys final 4! Rooting heavy for Ringgold to pull this out. Also, Northwood-Lena girls are in the finals. Usually when I hear these schools names, I expect them to be near the bottom of every sport. Very cool in my opinion!

Lena has had some basketball success lately, particularly when the 6'8 Rhode Island signee (I think Layssard was his name?) played for them when I was in school (I saw him playing for Lena at the Sunkist Shootout my junior year, that's how I remember him; they had a coach who was basically the same size and a 6'6 guy with a good looking mid range shot too). Still, congrats to them and congrats to Coach Trent and to the student athletes at Ringgold

I took this job at the high school I played with the hopes of getting us back to where we were in the 2000’s. I really am proud of our kids and the work they’ve put in. We really don’t pay attention to rankings, we played a tough schedule and a tough district. It prepared us for Friday. We didn’t receive much of a chance last night against the #2 team in Elton and the polls will probably go against us again. We love it, we embrace the role of Cinderella because our program will no longer be looked upon as a bad basketball program again. Lol I’ll be sure to post this in our locker room for Friday

Lol I’ll be sure to post this in our locker room for Friday I’ve always felt like the Basketball team down there has been overlooked. I believe in 2018 J-Hodge was in that district, and every team in the district made it to the 2nd round of the playoffs. Probably the toughest district for North LA hoops year in and year out. Definitely rooting for y’all!

Yall controlled that game from start to finish. #2 and #0 are some really good ballers you got there coach. Yall were way better than a 15 seed, good luck to the Redskins!
