Was looking at Chalmette's softball schedule and the LHSAA has us at 6 losses...
Haynes, Thomas Jefferson, Dominican, Mount Carmel, Walker, and Pearl River Central of Mississippi
the Pearl River Central game is the difference right now between us going on the road in Round 1 and hosting
Did this rule change recently? I don't even see how they would verify records for every out of state team an LHSAA team could play

They definitely count. You have to register your out of state opponents with the LHSAA and they just simply check with that association to see how many games they have won.

I wonder why they would do that... it was fine the way it was before and no one played that many out of state games that it really affected anything Were teams closer to state lines playing fewer in state games?

For some its just about limiting travel. Some also about a big gate. LHSAA also determines what class the school is by getting its enrollment and assigning it a classification based on LHSAA minimum and maximum numbers. If the school is assigned a higher classification than the LHSAA school than the LHSAA school gets the bonus points for playing up.
