We hear many sides to the split and some say that it's boring when it's always the same teams winning. That story is heard from both sides. Looking at all the teams in this years State Tournament and results of the last 4 years (3 full seasons).
12 teams (25%) made state all of the last 3 full seasons (2018, 2019, & 2021) Barbe (5A) Sam Houston (5A) Catholic-B.R. (D1) Sterlington (3A) Parkview Baptist (D2) Loreauville (2A) St Thomas Aquinas (D3) Grand Lake (1A) Ouachita Christian (D4) Harrisonburg (C) Northside Christian (D5) Claiborne Christian (D5)
13 teams (27%) made state at least 2 of the 3 full seasons West Monroe (5A) John Curtis (D1) Tioga (4A) Iowa (3A) Brusly (3A) Teurlings Catholic (D2) Doyle (2A) Notre Dame (D3) St Charles (D3) Calvary Baptist (D4) Opelousas Catholic (D4) Choudrant (B) Grace Christian (D5)
20 teams (42%) making first trip during the 3 full seasons Walker (5A) Byrd (D1) Jesuit (D1) Neville (4A) North Vermilion (4A) South Terrebonne (4A) Vandebilt Catholic (D2) St Louis (D2) Lutcher (3A) Mangham (2A) Rosepine (2A) Lafayette Christian (D3) Oak Grove (1A) Slaughter Community Charter (1A) LaSalle (1A) Catholic-P.C. (D4) Monterey (B) Elizabeth (B) Anacoco (B) Hicks (C) Downsville (C) Hornbeck (C) University Academy of Central (D5)

Pretty sure Claiborne has been 3 consecutive times. Not sure they have missed sulphur since the split.

Pretty sure Claiborne has been 3 consecutive times. Not sure they have missed sulphur since the split. Correct. Too much staring at the spreadsheet. I also typed Northlake instead of Northside Christian. Edited and fixed. Thanks.
