Congratulations to all the State Champs! It was a great weekend of baseball in Sulphur. Now that the 2021 season is in the book.
Any teams with a chance to repeat next year? Or who will make a run for it next year?

Or who will make a run for it next year? Barbe will be in the mix as well as Sam Houston. Tioga, North Vermilion and North DeSoto will be heavy contenders in 4A also DeRidder might make a run. 3A Sterlington, Lutcher, Iowa, South Beau, and Iota will all be contenders. 2A Kinder will be even better, Rosepine only losing two starters, Doyle, Mangham, DeQuincy, and Many will all be contenders also. 1A Oak Grove, Grand Lake. B Choudrant, Elizabeth, Florien, Converse, and Pitkin. C Hicks, Simpson, Hornbeck, and Harrisonburg.

Don't forget about Zwolle. They should be able to make a run at it again. Elizabeth losing quite a bit are they? If I'm not mistaken is Hornbeck moving back up to Class B?

Kinder is fool's gold, Many and Mangham playing for fifth place. ND, STA, St.Charles, will be the regulars, with LCA bringing their young talent and will make an even bigger push. I can see an all 6-2A final matchup with ND and LCA, but man the select side is so tough to get through.

I just know who the traditional powerhouse are but that's about it. How many seniors ND losing this year?

DQ will be young next year and Kinder is only losing 3 seniors, none of which are pitchers. Kinder will be right there again, DQ may as well, but DQ is the real fools gold, at-least until they show they can actually make it past the Quarters.

DeQuincy will eventually get over the hump, very good Sopre and Freshman class stepping up as well as a damn good incoming freshmen group

Loreauville returns 5 starters in the field, DH, and 3 starting pitchers. Team overachieved this year and will be stronger next year.

Winnfield will be returning 6 starters in the field and 1 starting pitcher. Freshmen class coming in is good, a couple of them will overtake a few of those starters from this year. Probably still another year out from making some noise but hoping they can build on the progress this years team ended on.
We will only lose two starters next year so I'm excited for the future.
