What is the word out of Ponchatoula? Hank going to slide it to a staff member or are outsiders being considered?
Who, on his staff, helped Hank T transition to the spread offensively...somebody on that staff must be a good teacher if he can learn a old dog like Hank some new tricks!

Central Lafourche HC Aaron Meyer has resigned. Supposed to be the new HC at Morgan City. This guy did a good job building up White Castle - who was atrocious before he arrived. How'd they run this guy outta town in less than two years already?

Especially leaving CL for MC....Morgan City has not done anything in years There have to be some factors to outside of football that contributed to this for sure. At this point in time one of the jobs isn't really more attractive than the other

Buckeye has hired Alexandria OC Ben McLaughlin as head coach. McLaughlin formerly served as OC at LCU.
As a player the Arkansas native was an All-American QB for the Wildcats and is the school's all time leading passer

Wondering what the underlying cause and motivation was. Did he not want to wait any longer to be a head coach? I mean Buckeye is not the best situation in the world. They graduated a good bit of their talented players, as well as admin focused on academics. The pay increase wouldn’t be that big if any, seeing as it’s Rapides to Rapides and I’m sure ASH was maxing out his percentage. Curious.

He has been a college OC and a HS OC and had success on both levels. I’d imagine he didn’t want to move seeing as he’s staying in parish. Ben is a good ball coach and a great person too - he’s going to do well at Buckeye.

Ben is a good ball coach and a great person too - he’s going to do well at Buckeye. Absolutely agree. He's had success on every level so far, all-state as a high school player, all-american as a college player, helped lead the Swashbucklers to the SIFL title game, won a gold medal with team USA at the IFAF World Cup, coached a top offense as a college OC, coached a top offense and state runner up as a HS OC. All that was left was being a head coach. And if he was gonna stay in the area where else would he go to be a head coach? The good teams have their head coaches set in stone like Jena, Tioga, Many, Leesville. I'm sure Pineville reached out to him and he's not the head coach so someone wasn't interested, Marksville stayed in-house after Dunbar, Grant has their chosen son as head coach, Menard is a disaster right now, Northwood is Northwood. Buckeye doesn't have a lot of athletes but they have some good fan support and up until recently they were consistently competitive, not state title competitive but locally competitive. I think in the long run he will be a good fit at Buckeye and they will be competitive again.

Excellent choice by Buckeye . He will have them competitive again . There were two openings in Cenla . Peabody and Buckeye . Now that Buckeye has been filled, has there been any word on Peabody? Has there been a shakeup at Menard ?

Has there been a shakeup at Menard ? Also I’m hearing that Menard is indeed a mess. Boosters not happy, well at least some of them. Gatlin however is firmly in the corner of Charles. Not sure how long he can save him, I would imagine another 1-9/0-10 season is in the works.
