Evangel is reaping what was sewed years back... Unfortunately for them, it can`t be unsewed.. Catholic BR is next. These teams have already been banished by the LHSAA... NO Superdome? How awful for those kids!!

How awful for those kids!! Catholic looks like theyβre going back again this yearβ¦ Their punishment was having two championships and two runner ups taken awayβ¦ but they can still go And the only team banishing Evangel now is Evangel

At first I thought maybe Evangel's decline in football might be due to switching emphasis from athletics to sewing class.

Okay, so Evangel has gone down, way down. I for one would have NEVER believed they'd ever have a winless season. But it happened. They had a good run for a while. Haynesville, down the last couple of years, and from what I hear will not be too good this year. West Monroe, still a good team, but not like they used to be. Neville had some good years but don't stay consistent. Oak Grove and OC, a lot like Neville. Acadiana, a good run the last several years. LCA on a roll for now. STM, seems to be down this year. C-BR and Karr, pretty good run the last few years. My point is these teams all seem to have good runs for a while, but then down for a while. EXCEPT for ONE team. Curtis. They haven't won it for a couple of years, but they stay right at the top year after year after year. For about the last 40 years or so. WHAT makes them different than all the others? I certainly don't have the answer. Maybe somebody on this board that's a lot smarter than me? ? And BTW, I'm in no way putting down any of the aforementioned teams. It's just that in all my years of being associated with high school football, what I just described is a fact.

Sorry retired, don't know what I hit to make your post come back up again. I know J.T. Curtis owns the school. I'm sure there are other schools in the country that are owned by the coach. But NONE of them keep winning at the rate Curtis does for all these years. I would think being the head coach and the owner of the school certainly has some advantages. But to the extent that it has had all these years for Curtis? I guess I'm dumb. Please explain how that works to me.

Can you ask if they can sew a sleeve on my sport coat?
I didn't know they were tailors over there.

There's a tailor near Branch, La. The name of their place is "Sew What."

They can get the players they need and they have good coaches which = wins!!!
