This guy should set it off at LSU, LSU has been searching for a coach that could compete with the best year in and year out. This guy has took ND from nothing to National Contenders for the past 5 years. He is not big in ra ra speeches which LSU shouldn't pay a man for that. He will no longer have restrictions in recruiting and coaching and he still won several games did he have success beating Alabama .. no but you have to look at the players he had. This hire is kind of like a monster that broke from the chains and no one really knows what this monster can do. I am ready to see what he will bring to LSU. But please people from Louisiana give the man a chance don't fire this one after 1 bad season.

Actually, just going to say it LSU has finally got another Nick Saban as HC. not saying that LSU will beat Alabama and win national titles every year but you better expect them to be in the mix for it about every year.

Have to disagree with you there. Kelly is not even in the conversation of Saban and time will show that.

Yet but before he came to LSU and before he went Alabama he was in the same boat as BK is right now.. Both are disciplinary coaches BK more of a player coach though from what I heard but time will tell about that.

I think he’s saying we got Brian Kelly from Notre Dame like we got Nick Saban from Michigan State. Saban has only been a champion in the SEC. Hopefully we see Brian Kelly become something similar.

Exactly what I am saying and to add on that they are both disciplinary coaches in my eyes. There are a lot of similarities between the two. (Before they come to the SEC)

And I think this is, without a doubt, the most successful coach we have hired yet. Just look at Saban, Miles’ and Orgeron’s record prior to becoming coach at LSU. Instead of playing king maker, we hired a king.

Not saying that ND sucks but they don't have the caliber players as LSU does or Bama, Georgia, Clemson and so on. Then you put a man who is somehow top ranked in recruiting with all the restrictions to a University without those restrictions he should be able to get who ever he wants. Think LSU hit a jackpot. Just going to suck when he leaves or retires. He is 60 which makes me wonder how much longer he want to coach.

So who are the legit targets for Kelly's OC and DC?

So who are the legit targets for Kelly's OC and DC? That’s tough, man. I think most LSU fans would be quick to note that Joe Brady is available. Although, I don’t know how much he was responsible for 2019. He inherited the best offense in history in my opinion. Defensively, I’ve seen Mike Elko’s name get tossed around. I think he would be a great fit.

So who are the legit targets for Kelly's OC and DC? Well know 2 of his targets stayed at ND I think I know for sure 1 did. He is now the HC. But I am sure he has more targets, But been hearing it someone in the playoffs that is why there hasn't been an announcement or something like that. Just hope BK is out and talking to recruits. Don't think they will sway anywhere but rather be sure that LSU don't slip away from some great talent.

And just like that, Brian Kelly hires McNeese HC FRANK WILSON - yes, THAT FRANK WILSON- to be associate head coach at LSU!
What. A. Hire.
