Sterlington should be pretty dang good this year, only lost 2 seniors I believe. They have a UAB commit and an Abilene Christian commit

Nope we were at top of list. Played out like I thought up until the last game.

Kinder went 3-0 over the weekend with wins over Merryville(12-1), St. Louis(19-0), and Church Point (10-0) to improve to 10-2 on the season. Right now I'd call them a Quarterfinals team after a curious loss to Sacred Heart and a head scratcher loss to Bell City. Though both of those teams might be better than I thought after looking at their schedules.

Kinder(11-2) beat Iowa 5-3 yesterday. They're scheduled to play a good Mamou team today if the weather allows.

Kinder dropped Rosepine 15-5. Lady J's led 8-0 after 3 innings and got the KO in the 6th. With Rosepine in a down year it's gonna come down to Kinder and Dequincy for the District Championship.

DeQuincy is much improved from last year and does not need to be taken lightly as a state contender, yes Many beat us 12-1 but our girls were still trying to find their rhythm early, don’t let that loss fool y’all, it’ll be DQ vs Kinder for the 5-2A district title.

Notre Dame 9 Kinder 6
Kinder took a 6-3 lead into the 6th and a 6-5 lead into the 7th but couldn't hold it. However Kinder(20-3) has established themselves as a State Title Contender.

Kinder has a fantastic program and time is coming but they are Not beating them this year. What happened in Rosepine game, I’m not being ugly just wondering since Rosepine is down this year.

Rosepine isn’t necessarily down my friend, they still have a great program this year and so does DeQuincy, could end up being a 3 way for district between DeQuincy, Kinder, and Rosepine. So far Kinder beat DQ 5-3 Rosepine beat DQ 3-2 Rosepine beat Kinder 10-7 All 3 still have to play each other one more time. Bottom line is that Kinder IS elite as well as DeQuincy and Rosepine. Rosepine is starting to really hit their stride. Many has a great program but they’re gonna have to really battle their way to a 2nd state title. |

We hammered DQ this year. Rosepine lost their pitcher and isn’t what they’ve been. I agree Kinder is very good team but as I said none of the three is beating Many this year.

That was DQ’s second game of the season and they hadn’t found their rhythm at that time so I really believe it would be a lot better game if they were to play now. |

Kinder couldn't throw their #1 pitcher because she had pitched 4 games in 5 days. I was surprised that they couldn't just outscore Rosepine though after putting 15 on them in the first game. Fatigue might have set in as the game went along, it being their 5th in 6 days. They did just rebound pretty well today with a DH run-rule sweep over Oakdale 15-0 and 13-2. Port Barre might make it to Sulphur too though they just got shredded by Notre Dame 16-4. They'll be one to keep an eye on in the playoffs. |

Lutcher has a good win against St. Charles but the rest of their schedule is pretty light. They've fattened up their PR by beating some bad 5A/4A teams. Right now I'd say no on them too. Quarterfinals maybe because they'll probably be seeded pretty high but I doubt that they'll go farther. FYI: The Selects are playing in Broussard this year. It's a little south of Lafayette on highway 90. |
