Can the Bucs repeat or will St. Amant play spoiler in the quarterfinals?

Hopefully we can play spoiler. We have two really solid starters. Both are going to Nicholls. If they have long outings, we’ll have a shot. Of course the biggest question will be, if we can scrap together a few runs against the best arms in the state. Gonna be tough to do. They force you to play their brand of baseball, and it’s almost impossible to beat.
I know a batters box with chalk, on dirt, won’t stay around for more than 2 innings, but they better make sure Barbe draws a damn batters box. Gotta limit as many advantages they have as possible. So many little things like that with them. Better be prepared for a combo of small ball, long ball, and everything with those guys. I remember that 2014 team could drop a perfect squeeze, and then drop an absolute bomb the next pitch. Was insane. They can just do it all. I’m sure they’re still doing the same things today.
I actually went and watched the 3 peat series that Eric Richey did a few years ago. St Amant/Barbe quarterfinals is on that series. Has me a little fired up now lol. Bringing back some old memories with Barbe. Don’t really like those guys too much. I respect them though because they are a hell of a program. Best program in the state, no questions asked.
We’re a scrappy bunch though, and it should be a damn good series. Wish I could make it out to LC, but it probably won’t happen. Games should be live streamed on Duckroost Sports for those interested.

I know that team had a lot of really good D1 baseball players and a lot of kids who go back to that (I think) 2008 semifinal LLWS team |

Pretty sure they finished #1 in the nation that season, and won the national championship. Beat us 2-0 in the semifinals that year. 2 run homer in the 2nd or 3rd was all she wrote in that one. Gunner pitched that game, and was lights out. Got to him in the first inning, left the bases loaded, and that was the last opportunity we had the rest of the game. |

Is Barbe the best team in the state, period? I would think so. Doesn't mean they cant be beat. Definitely the most consistent program in the state. Probably top 10 in the nation. |

7-1 Gators leading the mighty Barbe Bucs in the bottom of the 3rd. Cole Porrier, is responsible for all 7 runs tonight. Hit a grand slam in the 1st inning, and just hit a 3 run bomb in the 3rd. Gators came to play.

Lol, several years ago, Barbe use to not draw a batters box, and could inch as close as they wanted to the plate. They’d get hit all the time. Broke records for hit by pitch, and stuff like that. That’s in the past though. Looks like they draw one now. |

They always draw the outside lines to the batters box. The inside line is not required. You can stand as close to the plate without being in the frame of the plate. Get on base any way possible.

That’s what I’m talking about, is the inside line. It’ll only stay there for an inning, or inning and a half anyways, but you make the home team draw it, in a big game. Gotta take away that little advantage. Was it drawn last night to start the game? I couldn’t tell from the livestream. |
