When is this guy going to finally be seen for what he really is? He’s had issues/drama at every school he’s been at and now this situation with Plaquemine. Everywhere he goes he’s supposedly going to make them state champs and all that ever happens is some meltdown and him leaving.

Judging teams by their mascot, lol? Now I finally know why so many hate West Monroe, lol. And Teurlings. And Pineville. Well, for what it's worth, Plaquemine High's mascot is the Green Devils. A humorous side to that: I was reading some press clippings of Plaquemine High from back when my grandfather played there. It was funny to read the Baton Rouge papers referring to them as the Plaquemine Satanists / Devil Worshipers.

concerning the fight between plaquemine and jennings, i was there and i was able to discern/ observe clearly plaquemine players jumping and chasing our coaches and jennings players retaliating.
there was no abstinence, reluctance, or discrimination when it came to who plaquemine fought. EVERY jennings coach, including their retiring coach, was attacked. other passerby and staff were included in the brawl whether they wanted to be involved or not.
now im not saying all the fault lied in plaquemine because there was the possibility jennings could have contributed to the starting of the fight and they contributed during (but to be fair it was to defend their own coaches as well as themselves), but they initiated it nonetheless. and rumors are also simply rumors until proven otherwise. so far as i am concerned, i am only aware of plaquemine engaging, and this will change when further information develops.
also, plaquemine has a track record of engaging brawls after or during football games. this only happens while they're losing and if they lose. the only reason they didn't fight half of the teams they went against was because they won.
in the end, both sides need to be punished accordingly. i won't blame jennings if they choose to press charges against plaquemine for the incident considering it was aggressive and people were injured due to ignorance and immaturity. the fighting was unnecessary, unsportsmanlike, and it's baffling to think this isn't the only occurrence of this.
it leads me to believe these attacks by plaquemine are coordinated and tolerated because they haven't been punished, and only encouraged, by parents and their school. they wouldn't have targeted the coaches specifically if it was random.
stay safe everyone.

[brI can confirm that Plaquemine has a record that goes way back. My brother in law played against Plaquemine in high school. Plaquemine was their main rival. He said Plaquemine started a fight every time they payed and was the dirtiest team they played.

Well, I'm glad the Jennings players took up for themselves. I guess this wins the "Brawl of the Year Award"

Well, how is it in the gym when Plaquemine loses a basketball game? Plaquemine High has always been known as a rough place to go watch games at, at least to local people. Have been known to have fights on occasion and is the first local gym I can remember that had metal detectors at the door. Not saying you can’t have an enjoyable experience there or that a fight is guaranteed to happen. I’ve been to plenty PHS athletic events that were enjoyable and without issue. Also went to a game at the old stadium where the White Castle team had to go in the back of the store across the street due to fighting and the bus couldn’t get out (mid 1980’s) As someone who in the past (wrongly) criticized their coach (I’m the former CrusadingLions) I can say this has nothing to do with him from all from what I’ve heard . I’m from and work in Iberville parish, know plenty of school board members. Have heard nothing but positive praise for the coach. PHS is definitely not the worst or unsafe school. Great people associated with the school and many of the problems are usually started by people with no connection to the school (locals who like to start trouble).

So there were totally unaffiliated “locals who like to start trouble” on the field after the game? Interesting

Well, when the scheduling is being made up next year, maybe Jennings will give Plaquemine a call and ask them to come to Jennings?

I remember the time at AC, he was accused of relationship with a former student from the year before.

Was coaching in a regular season game against East Iberville. The train stays on the tracks on most Friday nights so u dont see the road. We beat them pretty bad and their coach accused is of running up score started arguing with us so we thought best not to shake hands and the team and fans surrounded us and our cheerleaders dance etc...Iberville police refused to help amd argued with our police so we had to fight to get to the locker room.
We came out and our parents and our poloce escorts made barriers so we could leave. We had to drive past Gonzales because of their fans following us before we could even eat
