This is what is wrong. Attention all Jeff Davis School Board members and Jennings Community
You need an emergency meeting
First CONGRATULATIONS to the Jennings High Bulldogs winning the playoff game tonight !!
We are very proud of you. !
The losing team from Plaquemine
La after losing the game attacked our coaches and players !!
One coach left in a ambulance!!
One player has a broker nose
Many were attacked and I don’t have all the details at this time on the others
Even the principal of that school was on the field involved in this act of violence!!! There is ZERO tolerance for this especially on School property !!
The police had to get our team in a building for their security till the stadium was cleared
The police had to escort our team out for safety !!
Many of our fans witnessed this act of violence and were very scared and shocked that this school allowed this to take place !!
Please gather what you can from all players, coaches and our fans This team and school needs to be disciplined!! Arrest needs to be made !!!

Plaquemine likely will be on probation for an entire year or worse. LHSAA warned specifically about these events and other things as well. Zero tolerance moving forward. poop ends last week. So plaquemine torpedoed it's program I to oblivion. Hope it was worth the anger and violence fools. |

From what I’m HEARING { heavy emphasis on “hearing” because I wasn’t there }, something was said at the end of the game and a Jennings player or coach spit in a Plaquemines players face which lead to the brawl. Regardless if it’s true or not, it’s still a real messed up situation. There’s no place for ANY of this in high school football….

Fair enough, but that doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. I’m “hearing” this from people who were actually there and I’ve read several posts on social media from actual players & spectators. I live in the BR area and I know first hand that Plaquemine knows how to take an “L” with no problem. However, I also grew up in Acadia / Jeff Davis Parish area { Crowley } and am also very familiar with that “culture” as well. I also can recall my son’s & some of his teammates accounts of their experiences when we beat Jennings IN Jennings during our playoff run in 2020. They heard some real “spirted” & disrespectful things when they were close to that opposing sideline so it’s quite possible even though you personally don’t or didn’t see it. Like I stated previously, if it’s true or not there no place for ANY of this in high school football. |

I drove all the way to Arcadia in a monsoon last night and watched a slop fest on the field with two teams that have never played each other before. From two entirely different parts of the state and different cultures. All I witnessed all game was kids helping each other from both teams off the muddy ground. So thankfully there is still good sportsmanship and hope out there. Good luck Arcadia in round 2.

I don’t agree with that fighting neither, but spiting on someone is nasty that will lead to fighting and y’all right something has to be done.. I look at this goes back to Carroll situation with all the coaches getting suspended rest of the season |

Many years ago in Lake Charles, (I won't name either team), the visiting team won and was celebrating in their end zone. What did the losing home team do? Their coaches watched as their players ran to one of our buses, all got on one side, and picked up that side and turned over the school bus. Cops surrounded us until many more cops came and got us out of Lake Charles. I don't agree with fighting in most cases, but if it's true about Jennings spitting in the face of someone, well then, I really don't blame the other team. And I NEVER blame a team for fighting back when the other team starts beating on you. Not sure how that's going to affect Jennings for their next game, if they even have a next game.

I just feel it hard to believe that someone spit when there were fans already fighting at midfield. It’s not like you can see spit and run down from the stands in the amount of 3 seconds, let’s be real people.

Any player that can be documented as throwing a punch, kick(whether landed or not) or any other aggresious UNS act will be out for at least one game. Spitting on a person is an aggresious UNS>

Sadly police are involved now. Plaquemine, LA (KPLC) - The Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office confirms an incident occurred at Plaquemine High School following Friday night’s football game. IPSO said an altercation happened after Plaquemine played Jennings in the playoff game. The Jennings Bulldogs won the game against the Plaquemine Green Devils 28-25. The investigation is underway as deputies work to collect more evidence and any video that was taken at the event. Any video or information from the incident can be directed to the the Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office, (225) 687-5100. I have no idea how exactly things went down Friday I just know one thing. You have a coach who was ran out of a winning program because he had issues following rules. He then goes to another school and ditches them as soon as the competition gets stiffer. The school he hires on with he then proceeds to leave after a week or so for the Plaquemine job. Now in his first season when they lose a game you have this go down.
