Both Universities did remarkably well in their bowl games.
LSU just right out embarrassed Purdue remember Purdue did play in the BIG Conference Championship Game and could not do anything against LSU defensively or offensively. Loved to see that our running game took over and the Offensive line. As well as the defense just shutting them down all game long.
Tulane I did not watch but going to today sometime. But what an upset. Tulane played USC in the cotton Bowl. USC was heading to the CFP until they lost their conference championship Game to Utah. What is going on with this university. Talk about a turn around. 2-12 last year to 12-2 this year. Beating USC to me was a big a moment for Tulane. Could this be more to come?
Now for the future. LSU has made a rebuilding year to a successful year. Granted the LSU faithful incuding myself wants them in the CFP but for year 1 with BK as Head Coach I believe they are certainly on the right track. I am excited to see what LSU and BK has to offer next year with so many guys coming back. Reminds me a lot of 2018 through 2019 season. Could we see another Steller season for LSU next year? To me everything is lining up just for that.
What are yalls opinions or thoughts on this. I can not wait for next year.

After this season and Tulane keeps it up there will be something for both to play for. Maybe the Rivalry will renew

Fritz has solidified himself as at least a top 10 maybe top 5 GO5 coach, and if he can maintain a consistent winner and pop off every 3-5 years, then he goes up to top 3-5 GO5 coach

Imagine that crowd.. Of both Universities came in with a high ranking. The atmopshere would be crazy. But that is the BIG question can Tulane Keep it at that same level.

Not easy to do at Tulane for sure, but Fritz is one of few who can maybe do it I agree with you. But it hard to Beat top ten ranked USC in the Cotton Bowl as well. Like thats going to bring in some $$$. Reminds me a lot of Boise State beating Oklahoma in one of the best bowl games to ever be played. Well maybe until this year. But Boise State then got a lot of money just like Tulane is about to get with all kinds of Recognition. Boise State had a chance to play with the big boys shortly after but got a little greedy with the money and it cost them a HC and never been the same. I can see Tulane doing the same thing. But Tulane already in a spot that can give them a lot of Money. But think this might be the turnaround Tulane needed. BUT ULL ,La Tech both had great years not as good as Tulane but still great for their tier. But they seem to let it all slip away. Hopefully they can come back as well and Hopefully Tulane does not fall off the map again.

LSU has played Tech multiple times in the last 7-8 years and the most recent game in 2018 was only a 38-21 margin which is decently close in my book so I don’t see why it wouldn’t be the same against Tulane, it’s always important to play your instate rival.

But all I am saying is LSU was looking at the bigger picture and they should have. I do not blame LSU for not playing Tulane. Tulane has been absolutely terrible for years. It would not have been a game at all. Tech at the time they played was actually playing in bowl games. Tulane at the time and for years had nothing to offer. Besides a rivalry that was big a LONG time ago. Tulane since then has decreased in level as LSU has risen to the top of the cream. Granted LSU been down for a few years but climbing back up now. But so is Tulane so I believe this rivalry will be renewed soon.
