What is going on with Sterlington Softball? Team made it to finals and head coach gets lets go...stranger things have happened but I got to believe someone's parent got upset that their daughter wasn't playing...People need to understand winning isnt easy and everyone can't play...if you want to play, practice - get better - and when your opportunity presents itself make it to where they can't take you out....

Wish I could tell you, but I can't due to confidence. She freaked up is all I can say. Messed up. It happens. No one is mad at her and she left without any disdain. She just messed up with some rules. Hopefully she learns from it and does well wherever she ends up. Still a great coach. |

Not true at all. She was told she "works too hard". She likes to win. No rules were violated.

Her slate is clean. no rules violated. They just Looking for loop holes to make this make sense. It was definetely parents of older girls on the team whose daughter had to sit a inning or get moved to a different position. Sterlington softball is now polictical.

She was just hired as the new head softball coach at Ouachita. You know she is fixing to take some kids from Sterlington over. Lookout!!! |

This move is terrible for her career, the talent is bad and without recruiting she will never win there like Whitman did. She might be able to pull some kids from Sterlington or keep those there from going to Cedar Creek. |

Wonder what is going on in Panther land. Fire a known quality and hired someone who has NEVER coached at the high school level. Is this Ouachita good old boys system at work?? Or maybe the new Sterlington principal is good friends with the new coach's wife?

This is the second time I've seen someone make the accusation that the principal was friends with someone. Come on... it's not like West doesn't know anything about the sport, or hasn't ever coached... He's already in the community and has good relationships... |

Not saying he doesnt know anything about the sport. Just kind of wild you let someone go who has been to the State playoffs 3 years in a row to hire someone who has NEVER coached at the high school level. And the last time i heard he was a contractor not a teacher? Maybe it is a good move. Remember the old saying " a bird in the hand is worth 3 Dads who want to coach....." |
