I missed their score for week 2 but Ringgold put up 50 points in a win vs Tensas tonight . Week 1 they got a W against Northwood-Lena. None of these teams are exactly powerhouses but 2 wins this early in a season is rare for Ringgold. We couldn’t possibly see this team in playoffs could we? Looks like the new head man has those kids buying in. Anybody have info on them? Do they keep the momentum rolling or have they reached their season win total already?

I mean if we’re back to the 2021 playoffs system…
They should beat Plain Dealing and the Magnolia School of Excellence… the rest of the district is still miles ahead, but given their past, those kids should get rings

The new man at Ringgold is a great coach and better man. Could make that place special if he sticks around.

At least a parade. I work in Ringgold and there is zero support from local businesses. There are only 4 businesses there but still, no support. I feel like if the town would support them, paint windows, fly flags , something, anything, give them something to be excited about … maybe more kids would play ball. Maybe they play at a higher level. But if they win 4 games year 1 for the new HC Is a huge success!

Most of the time these small town guys prefer to stick around. Magee at Logansport, Curtis was at Many until there was really nothing left to accomplish, the Franklins at Haynesville… the list could go on and on. But if he’s able to turn ringgold into a contender I’m sure he will get a few phone calls. Hopefully he sticks around and they start winning football games.

Zero supprt from buisnesses we won district last year in basketball and our kids metioned that it felt like we won nothing. Not a mention of it and we went 26-11, 12-0 in district. As a coach there's not much you can do but put your head down and continue to work for your team, but the kids know the town aren't gonna do anything. Happy for my friend Chris, we both graduated a year apart and we dead set on turning the entire sports program around as it was when we played.

I would bet if y'all went any ways' 6-4 the support would gradually come in little bits at a time. But I understand your frustration, win or lose, they should support their town. And I bet they think the locals should shop with them, lol. You're doing a good job so far, just keep your faith in God and you won't go wrong. Is Ringgold mostly a timber town?

My buddy that’s at Beekman understands how big a 6-4 season is for a program that had been struggling. But the support from the community is not as bad at Beekman. I may have to make the trip up north of bastrop to watch them two teams this year!
Have to stay diligent, because teams can revert back to old ways! Maybe with admin support and what little resources they can spare, both programs will continue to improved and grow.

Another game putting up 50+ and another W! Keep on rolling then Ringgold!!! This ain’t the same ole Ringgold. Got some real hard hitters coming up on the schedule so you get to really see how close you are to being a contender. Nonetheless y’all are showing out. Congratulations on another one

Well, this didn't age well. They went 3-1 and then went on to get outscored 290-18 the rest of the season.

Just heard a rumor Ringgold is dropping football? Can anyone from around there confirm? They went independent and won’t play a district schedule but I haven’t heard them dropping the program.
