I’m hearing there is a lot of turmoil between the officials. So much so that they won’t do the preseason scrimmage known as the officials scrimmage. They have done this type of scrimmage for years. It allows officials to call scrimmage format games to kind of warm up for the season. They get to see in live action any rule changes and help coaches and players understand these changes too. It would also give new officials mentorship time with seasoned officials. So what’s happening in the Alexandria officials association that keeps them from doing these “clinics” since other association are still having them? It’s important to have time to improve upon your craft.

He said this must be the softball association, because as a baseball umpire, as of Wednesday night the Alexandria Baseball Umpires Association IS doing their camp on the 27th @ Menard.

You are correct! I apologize for the missed point of clarity, this is relating the the softball umpires.

There are more cool aide drinkers out there than just the Alexandria Softball Association. It’s also been said that Mr Slanders has enjoyed a cup or two of this same beverage.
