If I’ve learned one thing these past couple years about all these awards, I’ve learned that on the field stats do not matter whatsoever! It’s all about where you play, who you know and having the right name. Makes no sense and it’s a shame for the kids that work their butt off for 4 years to go unrecognized when they have the most receiving TDs at their position along with right under the leader in receiving yards! Not to mention trumping the 3rd best at the position by almost 40% more yards and 2.5X the TDs. There’s really No reason to have multiple publications of the same award if all they’re going to do is copy and paste from the others results instead of actually using a legitimate system based off of on-field statistics. I actually thought LSL would have been different .

From reading his prior posts, he’s pretty bent out of shape that kid with 15 catches all season didn’t make All State. But the kid plays at a big name school so I’m not 100% sure

Thankful for the kids that did make it off the Calvary team. I was hoping that Braylon would have made first team, he made second team All Maxpreps team as a freshman around the country. We got some good kids at CBA. Looking forward to next season.

Lump them in with WR voting and have that spot be labeled "Flex" or something

Well the kid I’m arguing for lined up the in the 3 points stand literally every down with the exception of 2 times in the slot all season. He almost had as many receiving yards as JT, (obviously JT was more of a flex/Ath based on his statistics and running the ball as well) more receiving TDs, almost 50% more yards than Will and 5 TDs to his 2 TDs. So explain to me how Will gets it over him? Because he committed to South Alabama? If you’re voting on these kids on their prospective positions and using their statistics then you can’t make me believe that he shouldn’t have been voted in. It’s obvious the voting party used biased decision making.

It’s obvious the voting party used biased decision making. I was gonna leave this alone but I'll be dammned someone accuses me of bias, I work too hard and take this too seriously to stand for that. Obviously the Elton native living in Pineville would be biased towards Newman and Oak Grove (he said sarcasticly). I went back and forth for a while between Loerzel and Hayden Johnson and I went with Loerzel. Not a statistical award and definitely not an award based on how many "stars" you have. I attended a D3 school that is now in NAIA so idgaf about whether they are being recruited by Louisiana State and Texas or Louisiana Christian and Texas College or if you'll never put on pads again after high school. I'm a big Notre Dame supporter and have tailgated at their games and cheered on the Pios many times, but I stand by my decision in picking Loerzel. Claiming negative bias is ridiculous and just a cheap excuse. I debated for a long time about whether to pick him or Loerzel. If this wasn't a player from Notre Dame and, probably pretty likely your son, there would be crickets.

If it’s not a statistical awards then why did every other player that was nominated with the highest statistics make it then over the ones with lessor ones? I guess just a coincidence right? And of course there would be crickets if it wasn’t from myself (his father) speaking up on the matter at hand! So can be as upset as you feel you need to be for pointing out the bias, means nothing to me. But at least now you can feel the same frustration I felt! 🤷🏼♂️

The one thing I will never question is his passion for Louisiana high-school sports and the time he invests in it. I've literally had conversations with him where he excitedly talked about teams that I couldn't care less about and honestly couldn't even tell you where they are on a map. The guy truly loves high-school football, regardless of if it's a Division I state contender or a team that went 2-8 in Division V. So, when it comes to debating whether he's the one who is biased or if quite possibly it's a player's father who has 5 posts and came here to gripe about his son not making all-state, I'm gonna lean toward you being the biased one, my man.

Heck if you want to you can see if the principal at his school will let you hold a school assembly and give it to him there. When you are done, you can change his diaper and give him a bottle and then burp him. Hope your kid doesn't need a safe space over all of this horrible misunderstanding. My guess is that maybe your kid will need to provide you a safe space and change, feed and burp you instead.
