Class B and C voted to reunite and end the split. Will have individual brackets for B and C, unclear if that takes effect this year or next.
Girls wrestling has been approved by a vote of 96-1. Will be a LHSAA varsity sport beginning next year.
Baseball in Divisions I-III will move to three-game championship series beginning next year
One-time transfer rule was pulled from the agenda

Lol Also saw where the holdback rule was changed back to how it use to be. Just can’t be 19 before senior year. Not sure that will be much of a difference for most people.

Yes wonder what that 1 person’s reason was to vote against? Would love to hear that logic

So I guess we’re still going to have divisions?… Divisions for the championship with a split and classifications for districts? Still waiting to hear the logic to this approach?

Divisions for the championship with a split and classifications for districts? Still waiting to hear the logic to this approach? Because districts are for the regular season and divisions are for the postseason Makes more sense just to do division fully and not change for postseason. But that's just common sense.

Actually it makes more sense to have districts and play in class for the playoffs. But we haven’t cured D M S yet.

Class B and C voted to reunite and end the split. Will have individual brackets for B and C, unclear if that takes effect this year or next. Explain this to me like I was 5. Am I to understand that there will no longer be a Div IV Select and a Div IV Non-Select bracket for baseball/basketball? That they will combine select and non-select into a Div IV bracket?

That would be division 5 then you’d have D1 select and nonselect, D2 select and nonselect, D3 select and nonselect, D4 select and nonselect, B, and C we’re not there yet. Still need to get rid of class B and combine it with 1A. It’s basically already happened in New Orleans

There will be a Class B and a Class C playoff bracket with no differentiation between select and non-select. They did not vote to combine in a single Division V. I would assume that means basically Division I-IV for football will be the same for the other sports essentially.

If a 1A school like Sicily Island wants to play football they can in 1A but play baseball or basketball in Class C. It would balance it out a little more between 1A, B, C

How much fun would it have been to see another classification, let’s say 4A, decide to do away with the split and merge. What would the Divisions and playoffs look like?
