No joke right. Ten years as head coach and over 20 with the program in total.

This screams Cyril Crutchfield! Small class 1A school, with homegrown talent and speed. This is the environment he thrives in.

this one surprised me not going to lie. But understand the reasoning behind it. Hopefully Kentwood can get a good coach and keep it rolling

A lot of academic qualifiers go that route now because the transfer portal has limited the opportunities for prospects coming out of high school.

Kentwood OC seems to have inside track. Crutchfield would be crazy scary there.

Kentwood OC seems to have inside track. Crutchfield would be crazy scary there. Those are his type of kids. I feel that the kids from Port Sulphur and the kids from Kentwood mimic one another in numerous ways as far as the endless homegrown talent, their amazing athletic ability, determination, work ethic, and desire and willingness to put in the work to get better day by day.

Those South Plaq teams under Coach Crutchfield were some of the most physical football teams I’ve watched. If my memory serves me correctly…they had wins over some pretty good big school programs during that run. Coach Crutchfield, from an outsider’s prospective, would be a really good fit.
