I will post the first LSL Baseball and Softball Polls this weekend. Been doing this for football for a few seasons and I've wanted to expand to baseball and softball for a while now and figured might as well get it started. What are y'alls thoughts on how the rankings should look? Will be organized by classification

Rank select/non-select together in each division.

I think it should be done by Division and select/non-select. Those are the championships they are playing for.

I like the debate but also know it can never be settled. Just an example, but including Iowa in "3A" rankings in any sport is pointless, just my opinion (know it ain't worth much).

I have a dog in the hunt, so to speak. The SB Live sites in each state have a format that calls for ranking the overall top 25 teams in boys/girls hoops, softball, football and baseball. It's daunting but you can't help but learn a lot.

I am a man of the people, these polls represent everyone on here as a whole so if that is how most think it should be done then I'll do it that way. Anybody wanna give their rankings so I can see how the group sees each division?

What do we think about doing each select and non-select division together? Like D1 select and non-select are combined into a single D1 ranking?

West Monroe got crank yanked tonight against OCS late giving up 17 hits, a 3 run ding that tied it at 7 in the 5th or 6th inning, and then in extra innings gave up 6 runs in the 11th I believe.
Both teams did not start with their aces as they prepared for tournaments this weekend. Cupit came in and pitched one and a half innings in complete work and a 5-3 lead. Lead increased to 7-3 into 5th.
Trichel came in when it tied up at 7 in the 7th inning as OCS went for the win. And got it.
WM is far from a finished product at all as of today. Close games late against teams they should be hammering in destrehan, curtis, bryant, and now OCS. Could easily be sitting at 6 losses instead of 4.
Need to fix whatever is off before this weekend as they face 3 very good teams in Parkview Baptist, Mandeville, and Dutchtown. Expect Ferguson and Cupit to be their horses early this season with the play at the plate being less than expected so far. After those two is gets choppy.

Sulphur is to high. Barbe and Sam aren't ready yet and missing pitching due to injury and other. D1 non select is going to be a free for all. Whoever gets hot at the right time.

well, for next week there's something to discuss that even I didn't see coming
Ever since dropping a 6-4 contest to East Ascension to start the North Vermillion tournament, LCA has rattled off wins over Southside 5-4 and Sterlington 3-2 as the start of a win streak that's grown to 6 games. In that stretch they also racked up a win over North Vermillion 4-1 and most surprisingly, STM 6-5 today. They are now 14-8 on the season.
