Even though I am watching youtube (games in the past), Hudl film, and the upcoming arena and UFL games coming up, I am looking forward to watching some high school spring football games. What are some spring games that preferably will be played in North Louisiana. Only one I know for sure I will attend is Haynesville vs St Fred's. I know Neville plays Byrd in the spring. What other spring games are going on?

I believe Ouachita will play Huntington in the spring gonna be a very interesting game seeing Connor and Dade from SF at ouachita this coming season heard they were coming after track season ends along with a few other players that have moved there

I think we’re going to Istrouma… Tucker must know Sid Edwards or something because we used to scrimmage Central in years past. Maybe they coached together at Jesuit…

Logansport, Natchitoches Central & Red River May 16th, I believe at Red River. This seems like an odd pairing. A 1A school, a 2A school and a 5 A school. If NC performs poorly against these two it won’t bode well heading into August. If they perform well, how will they know if L’port and RR were even competitive on their level? I think L’port is bringing back quite a bit but not sure about RR.

Logansport is dangerous AF to 5A schools. They wiped the floor with Peabody this past season. Its not unrealistic for them to show well against Nat. Central. They might be a small school, but, according to their HC, they have virtually EVERY boy at that school involved in either football or the band. I saw them a couple years ago and they had 40+ on their sideline and a decent sized band.

Peabody was not very good early on when L’port beat them so bad. Can’t really go off of that.
Even if they beat Peabody late in the year you still really can’t use that as much of a measuring stick. A top tier 1A should always do well against an average 3A.
What about Red River? Anything coming back? They’ve been pretty non competitive the last couple of years.
What about NC? I’ve heard they graduated a lot of skill guys and several o linemen as well as several off of defense. Does Laird have anything work with?

Had multiple 1-2 win seasons. Idk that I’d even call them average. Logansport is a really good 1A program, but the 4A’s they play consistently are Bossier. Bossier isn’t a great measuring stick for playing bigger schools.

Bossier isn’t a great measuring stick for playing bigger schools. Last year, Peabody was an average to above-average 4A team. They beat the teams they should have beaten pretty badly and lost to the teams that were supposed to beat them. The win over St. Mary's was a good win, and they lost games to Tioga and Franklin Parish that were winnable. The Logansport game was a catalyst for change. Credit coach Harry Coleman for realizing what he was doing wasn't working and fixing it. Peabody had some explosive playmakers on offense and a serviceable defense. They have some holes that have to be filled next year, but the QB-WR duo of Larry Roberts and TJ Hullaby might be the best in Cenla next season.

Chalmette give us a report on yalls spring game. I wasn’t there I’m not expecting much from the Owls in a rebuilding year anyway… Jaden Williams, our CF in baseball, will be a stud at WR, but we graduated our record setting QB… we might make him the QB and on a better team he’d have a chance to be all-state. Axton Lopez will be good on offense, and Lee Everidge will be an up and coming stud on defense, but we probably won’t have enough unless new faces come through. Now the freshmen did have a great year and beat St Charles Catholic among others… hope we can win 4 games against a tougher schedule than we’ve played in the past, which would give Coach Tucker 100 in his career, and then hope the power points fall our way to go back to the state playoffs… that would be a successful season in 2024

Washington-Marion’s scrimmage from Thursday had three teams: Washington-Marion, ville platte, and Westminster (Opelousas one, I think). Washington-Marion and Westminster scored twice. Ville platte scored once. Washington-Marion first defense had a pick six on ville platte, and the first offense scored on ville platte. Ville platte first offense scored on Washington-Marion. Westminster first offense scored on ville platte twice.

Love the meme... Haven't heard anything about local teams scrimmages. Care to elaborate about Ouachita vs Huntington or Neville vs Byrd??
