Break rules, get caught, appeal, lose appeal, hire lawyer, sue in local jurisdiction to get favorable ruling. That's the Louisiana way.

Be for real… Louisiana has always been a good ole boy system that’ll never favor a public school in one of the poorest parishes in the state… Also this was settled before the trial even started, because honestly this mountain of evidence that ppl claimed the LHSAA had wasn’t really there… Because from the on set, this was about one kid, an incoming freshman who domicile parent moved an address in Opelousas in June and this kid would ride the bus from this address to school and all of a sudden she popped up as living in Cecilia… Honestly, the world really is all in the court of public opinion and I get that, but those boys earned the state championship and are prime to do it again next year…

Break rules, get caught, appeal, lose appeal, hire lawyer, sue in local jurisdiction to get favorable ruling. That's the Louisiana way. We often agree on many things but imma have to disagree with you on this one, OHS did not break any rules and LHSAA claimed to have tons of evidence when there clearly wasn’t any at all, the coach is not at fault for any of this, the parent should’ve notified the school counselor and coach of the move but to my understanding failed to do so however the physical address still showed the young man living in OHS district. This was not a good ole boy system decision this was the right decision, justice was served today and the LHSAA and Cecilia should be embarrassed. The fact that the LHSAA is still trying to to put the coach on probation just shows how angry they are about the ruling and they are just trying to hold on to any bit of power they can in a case that they lost badly 😂

They definitely have the inside track to repeat and should be in the discussion for top overall team.

There is an addendum at the conclusion of the article. Says it was edited to remove the video they were discussing. Anyone care to say which school the student(s) were from (you can PM me). I don't have any opinion on this, BTW. Just following along.

Did anyone see the video before it was taken down? To know who the players were?

Don’t trust anything By-U sports publishes.. They’re notorious about not stating facts and painting a poor narrative just to get clicks.. It’s absolutely disgraceful what that outlet is trying to do..
I’m all for freedom of the press but atleast tell the damn truth!

They do get a lot of clicks. I wish I knew how to copy their blueprint for the metro area I'm in.

Other than the original news they have been very accurate and honestly probably took something Zachery said and twisted it to get clicks, certain news outlets will get down and dirty to get clicks. I’m not buying this chicken crap..

I’m not buying this chicken crap.. They were plenty guilty with a lot of evidence. The judge right out the shoot told both parties that it was in the best interest to come up with a quick resolve . They agreed on a year probation for the coach and OHS pay the LHSAA $14k. The LHSAA being what it is, an organization that whores our kids for money considered this a win.

The LHSAA claimed there was a mountain of evidence but never shown it in court, they had no case man! I highly doubt the judge is going settle an agreement that fast especially if there’s a mountain of evidence, sorry Indy but I’m not buying that crock of crap.

The judge didn’t bother to review it. I can’t say I blame him, he had nothing to gain. And I have nothing against OHS, I think it’s a great Cinderella story but it doesn’t change the fact that they broke rules. But breaking, bending, skirting, and flat out not following rules has been the norm. If this was a private school you and the rest on here with D M S would be livid instead of trying to cover it up and sweep it under a rug.
