It was two gritty teams. Tight the whole game. OCS stranded numerous runners.
GB took 1-0 lead. OCS came back 2-1. GB scores 3 in top of 7th and ended game with a double play while OCS had 2 runners on.
Great game, great atmosphere

I saw Maddox Mandino (Glenbrook 2023) play in the American Legion state tournament last year. Then I saw him play as a true freshman for the Cajuns this year.

It was a great game to watch! The game boiled down to a pitching duel with each team making outstanding plays and benefitting from some timely breaks. It was like a heavyweight fight that came down to the final round! Jake Martin wrote an article that zeroed in on the main battle: "With a matchup featuring (Glenbrook's) Louisiana Tech commit Easton Sanders and (OCS's) LSU commit Karson Trichel, Wednesday night’s matchup did not disappoint. Sanders allowed two earned runs on nine hits and two walks with five strikeouts, while Trichel struck out 10 and allowed four runs on three hits and four walks." www.hannapub.com/ouachitacitizen/sports/glenbrook-rallies-late-to-eliminate-eagles/article_038eb78c-0827-11ef-a785-f3cfdbefaeba.html

This one sentence tells you the importance of limiting walks because of how devastating they can be, and also the significance of getting hits at precisely the right time. One pitcher allowed 11 baserunners but only gave up two runs. The other pitcher only allowed 7 baserunners but gave up four runs.

Two very good pitchers going at it, no doubt both guys you can tell are D1 Material, they matched up well, the main difference from what I watched on video was the fact that when OCS got runners on, they could not come up with a 2 out basehit, if I am not mistaken they ended up with 10 hits but only 2 runs, and when Glenbrook had its chance to do damage with 2 out, they cashed in with 2 runs on a double to right center to score 2 in the T7. While I am shocked OCS wont be in Sulphur, I said it before and I stick to thinking Opel Cath and Cov Christian are on a collision course to meet the final game of the season.
