St Mary’s, Lakeview, Lasalle…..
These 3 schools 3 weeks before school ends is looking for 4 plus coaches. Who are they gonna find to replace these guys? And at what point do you begin to look at administration being a problem with that many coaches leaving? Teachers leaving also! Wouldn’t it be easier to replace a principal instead of 4-7 employees? Coaches are flooding out of the profession and nobody is doing anything to fix it. Too many people in leadership positions that have no idea how to be ahead of anything.

Lakeview normally has alot of coaching turnover. They did just hire a new principal like 2 weeks ago. LaSalle’s principal is in his first year at the school. Superintendent is backing his decision.

Seeing this more and more across the state. Naive admins and un attainable parent/fan expectations have made coaching jobs more and more undesirable.
Most of these schools need a reality check on the talent level and ceiling of their programs.

Coaching profession is shallow. Coaching jobs opened everywhere. Coaches make less than minimum wage . Then we get on football fan boards and hear the average fan tell them they make far too much money and don’t know what they are doing. Teachers/coaches/ Administrators, all needed. Come try it for a week .

Not all that familiar with LaSalle and what's going on there other than they are looking for a football coach, a baseball coach, a softball coach and both basketball coaches. Not a lot of coaches that have moving to Olla/Tullos/Urania on their to do list either I wouldn't think. This will be a tough sell if the Superintendent sticks with the Principal's decisions.
Problem at Lakeview is that the boy's basketball coach runs the show and no matter who the administrator is, that isn't going to change. Dude controls the school and all athletics and all coaches. Boone figured that out early on and was gone as soon as he could find a new job. The new principal coming in will get eaten alive. That is straight out of the mouths of people who work there. The only positive is a good paycheck and decent bonuses twice a year. Word is that Boone's assistants are all gone at the end of the year as well.
St Mary's just graduated a really good group of senior boys that have been the driving force behind winning in football, baseball and basketball the last 3 years. There is practically nothing returning next year. Not sure what's coming up, but I've heard not much and also that they are losing students. Not sure if either of those is true. Also heard this morning that the baseball coach has been let go today. They are now looking for a football coach, a baseball coach and a boys basketball coach. Salary will be the hardest selling point for them on top of no retirement and no insurance.
Haven't heard a peep about any assistants that Laird has picked up or may be talking to at Natchitoches Central. That whole situation has been very quiet but that may be by design after the whole Curtis exit drama. Wouldn't blame them a bit there for laying low after all that.
Not naming the school but another river area school close to Natchitoches may be looking for some new coaches after this weekend too. If you look at one of lhsaamemes' memes a couple of posts above, you may be able to figure it out. He has obviously heard that rumor as well.
I've also been told that there will be some turnover at Montgomery, Grant and Tioga as well but not until the end of the year. Cook has had a couple of down years in a row and may be looking to perk things up at Tioga. ASH is killing him and Pineville with the open enrollment thing.
