Not sure of the story, but Menard is looking for a new baseball coach after also getting rid of the softball coach last month. Softball job has been filled by Brad Turney (baseball assistant).
Baseball has been to Sulphur each of the past two years and is traditionally one of the stronger teams in the area if not the state.
This same school has replaced football (with an internal hire), boys basketball, girls basketball, and now baseball and softball coaches all within the last 18 months. What is going on at that school? New admin? or just poor admin?

What is going on at that school? New admin? or just poor admin? Admin is the same. However, the boosters have a lot of “influence” of the hiring & firing decisions. Marks is an outstanding head baseball coach but he was not a teacher or on staff at the school which is what I can only surmise as a reason for the separation. |
