Kinder and Riverside are long time Perennial Powers in 2A Softball. DeQuincy and Many have made some deep playoff runs the last few years. Since John Curtis and Evangel jumped to 5A after the 2013 season Calvary and Menard have emerged as the top programs. Rosepine is another program that has made some deep playoff runs and Notre Dame is coming off a Semi Finals appearance but also had some deep runs when they were in 3A. Mangham made the Quarterfinals last year and had some good runs when they were in 1A too. So on the Public side i'd look at Kinder, Many, Mangham, Rosepine, DeQuincy, and Doyle. On the Select side Calvary, Menard, Hannan, Notre Dame, and Riverside.

Take Riverside Academy out of the mix as far as challenging for the select side of Division III in playoffs. They have elected to play up a division and will compete for state honors in Division II this year, will compete for district honors against the likes of their regular district opponents but when the brackets are released, they have decided and alerted the LHSAA that it will move up for the playoffs.
