2 tough losses for Loreauville to end the week after run ruling St Martinville and Carencro.
Fell behind to Loranger 4-0 early. Fought back but couldn't get over the hump. Had bases loaded with 2 outs and top hitter at the plate in bottom 7. Called strike 3.
Jumped on North Vermilion 3-0 in 1st. Back and forth then head to 7th tied at 9 with the sun going down. NV gets runners on 2nd & 3rd with 2 outs. Ump freezes and refuses to call 3rd strike twice forcing a walk. Most consistent hitter for NV comes to plate and with 2-1 count, hits a grounder between 1st & 2nd to score winning run.
Overall, love the fight from the guys and the way they play with a chip on their shoulder. District will come down to the 2 games against Catholic High.

What kind of arms do you guys have down there in Loreauville? I remember a few years back y'all had a real good lefty!

Bryson Broussard [SR] Kam Broussard [SR] Rhette Viator [JR] After those we have 8 sopres and 6 freshmen pitchers.

It's hard to get a read on how good teams are this time of year because teams are mostly playing Tournament games. Kinder beat St.Eds 11-1 on Thursday then beat Menard 13-2 on Friday then on Saturday against Rosepine Coach Kenny played mostly backups in an effort to build depth for later in the season and they lost 5-2. Sulphur lost to Barbe 5-0 and West Monroe 15-2 but then in their Tournament beat Teurlings 2-0 and Airline 2-1. In the same Tournament Airline beats Barbe 5-4. The District season is usually when teams start to round out and find their identity. I can't dispute your rankings because it's too hard to tell right now. Good work Reaux.

All I really have to go by is scores. The cream will rise to the top I'm sure. Appreciate any feedback like you gave me on Kinder. Obviously had no idea coach played backups against Rosepine.

We beat Fairview today 11-3. Kind of a shocker for me. I guess getting our basketball players made a difference.

Kinder got spanked 10-0 by Sterlington yesterday LA, did Fairview have all of their basketball kids yet? If they did, awesome job by LA....Fairview is coming off of a few class B state titles. I hear Sterlington is legit this year...definitely the team to beat in 2A.

We will have our hands full today with Elizabeth they are strong this year. They have a couple wins over Mamou and Vinton and are 7-0 at the moment.

It is still premature to put all these bulls eyes on teams. You never know the competition level that each team has played early on. Once district begins the cream will rise to the top! Then the fog will clear & the contenders, not the pretenders, will become very clear. LOLOL And yes, chances are the usual suspects will show up!!! In my humble opinion....
