I was told this morning from an umpire that Coach Partridge is out for the season. He claimed Coach was struck in the head at a practice and suffered a severe concussion that resulted in bleeding on the brain. Can anyone confirm or deny this? I met Partridge severel years ago when he was at Hicks, he was a great guy that the kids enjoyed playing for, a bit fiery but nonetheless he has done great things since being at Florien. Praying that this is not true.

We played Florien last Thursday and were told about the incident...however nothing about being out for the season was mentioned. I hope it was a misunderstanding on the umpires part...

Coach Partridge was hit in the back of the head and did receive a severe concussion, but he will be back. Neurologist suggested a couple more weeks. He can't return to work for a while so it is killing him to be away from his team. His coaching staff has done an outstanding job in his absence, as well as the administration giving the program all the support it needs to keep moving forward. It has been amazing seeing the outpouring of love for one of our fellow coaches. Do lift him and his family up in your prayers in fact his son is doing the head coaching duties and they haven't skipped a beat.

Gracious I hadn't heard about this. Hate this for Partridge. He and I used to coach a USSSA team together when our boys were young and playing together (when we lived in Pitkin). He is not only a friend, but a fellow minister. Praying for a quick recovery so he can get back to what he loves.

I see you guys had a big week last week with wins over Glenmora and Simpson. Still lifting him up in prayers.
